1976 International Harvester Scout II Up for sale is my Scout II. It is in rough shape to say the least. But, it has got plenty of potential. I saw the potential in it, but i just don't think i am going to get it ready come winter time. I just don't have the time. So my loss is your gain. Especially if you love Scouts!! Ok. Things you should know about the Scout It's a Scout. These are very rare and very collectible and if restored can fetch a lot of money. This Scout in particular is actually more rare that the others of the same era because it has the standard transmission. It's got a 345CI 8CYL motor with only 74,000 Miles on it. It runs strong and starts with very little persuasion. ( Has choke issues in the cold ) 4 speed transmission with locking differential in the rear. It's Four Wheel Drive. Although now it is locked in 4HI and i cant figure out how to disengage it. It's going to need a clutch. The clutch is just about gone and makes it very hard to move around. Sometimes you have to start it in gear to get it to move. It has Rack and Pinion Steering which makes you very very strong. It has a fully functioning 4 way Meyers Electric Plow. The Frame is Very Solid. The Windshield is Cracked. The Body needs serious work which is why i am just going to sell it. The rockers are gone. Gone. The Right Quarter Panel needs to be replaced as does the entire front floor. Look at the pictures.. The rear brakes are bad. Whether its a line or a a wheel cylinder, i don't know. There is no fluid in the reservoir so it's one or the other. I have no title for it. It is a 1976 so in this state one is not required. I will provide you with a bill of sale only, upon purchase.
