A 3 Day Auction With No Reserve - Sold To The Highest Bidder This is an original & family owned since new 1972 Chevy Impala Kingswood Wagon. Rare Number's matching 400. Factory option's include third seat, Disc brakes, power steering, air conditon, cruise control, tilt & luggage rack. Spent it's entire life in San Diego, California - owned by a elderly couple. Was used as a family wagon up in'till the early 80's once the kid's moved out. The original color combantion has alway's been green /green. Repainted once about 25 year's ago at a one day paint shop.The body is straight and pretty much complete. Floors & undercarraiage are in good shape for being original. Has a few bubble's here & there but normal for it's age. The jamb's are the original darker green paint. Near the rear hidden seat there is some minor rust as near the bottom of the spare, it's common. The interior is original with the exception of the later model radio. In great shape for being 38 year's old. Dash has a few crack's but it's original. The interior is complete and is driver quailty. Headliner & steering wheel are original. Look's some green was touched up here & there. Does have the original & number's matching drivetrain. The 400 / automatic transmission is in great running shape. Recently, drove back from San Diego cruising on the freeway at 70+mph. The odometer show's 85,300 but has turned over once. Cruise control still work's as well as gauges. The A/C is complete and blow's but not perfect. The clamshell tailgate work's but very slowly. Need's a push going up & down. A great wagon to cruise around and can be a dependable driver for someone. Please keep in mind, this is a unrestored 72' Kingswood that was a driver. Not, perfect in any way.
