I am selling my Father's 1947 Triumph Roadster 1800 which he has owned since 1977. It has always been admired and treated like the baby of the family that it is (yes I was jealous). He is at point where he is no longer driving his little Triumph and came to the conclusion it is now time to let the next appreciative owner purchase her. It was a hard decision to make but the time has come. His beautiful convertible has the classic rumble seat with it's own windscreen (better know as the mother-in-law seat) and as you can see is Burgundy with a beige leather interior. The interior was been redone completely, some of the interior work done would be as follows: 1) The leather interior with a very high quality leather 2) The wood was refinished 3) The interior carpeting as well as the rumble seat carpeting was replaced 4) Mechanical work is as follows: a) rebuild the engine b) replaced brakes c) rebuilt shocks 5) Convertible top was replaced There are about 400 of these vehicles located through out the world so she is rare and did I mention WOW beautiful. This particular one was imported directly from England and is right hand drive. The car runs well and has been up to highway speeds (Heck for a 47 model this is a great thing). It has never been in an accident and there is no rotting in the wood frame or corrosion on the aluminum body. One quick note, the miles are either the 24,998 or 124,998, we do not know but it has not spun around the 6th digit since we owned her. There is a Triumph Roadster club located in England where you can get replacement parts. He has used this source when needed and it has been VERY helpful knowing they are there when he needs them She can be seen in Lake Success, NY (aka Great Neck) on Long Island which we would encourage so you can see just how beautiful she is prior to close of the auction. My sisters and I (as well as the grandchildren) wish we could keep her but it is her time to be given her next stage of life. We have always used local papers to sell our vehicles but my close friend who loves ebay told me that this is the BEST way to let as many possible buyers see her and after looking over the auctions here I have to agree. I purchased my 2007 BMW 328i from ebay and found it to be an excellent place to buy (or sell) a car as well.
