Vehicle Detail

I have for auction my 1969 Plymouth Valiant Signet. I've had this car for a little over a year now and have enjoyed driving it. My wife and I just got married, and we're looking for an MG, so we're selling one of our toys. It has a strong running 225 slant 6 with a 3 speed automatic, and I've put about 5,000 miles on it since I've had it. It's a real head turner, and comfortable to boot. I've taken it to a few local cruise ins and had a good bit of interest. The body is in excellent shape, with no rust through anywhere I can see. The floor pans, trunk floor and rocker panels are solid as a rock, as you can see in the pictures. The trunk lid even still has the original jacking instructions, and stickers from the early 70's when it got its first new set of tires. The jack and accessories it came with are in the trunk as well. The only surface rust I can see is a small spot on the front corner of the front bumper about 2 inches big. It is not bad. I have done some work to this car while I've had it. I put in a rebuilt alternator, new aluminum radiator, new front wheel bearings, new u-joints, new speaker so the original radio works, and a new heater core with hoses. The paint was done about a year before I got the car, and looks good. It has a couple things that I haven't finished yet, as it was a driver. Someone added aftermarket air conditioning, but it is non functioning. Since the AC wasn't original to the car, I had plans to remove it anyway. The old glove box and defrost ducts were in bad shape, so I removed them when replacing the heater core. The interior is in decent shape, good headliner and good back seat. The carpet is in good shape as well. The drivers side of the front bench has some tears, but I put a cover on it that matches the rest of the interior pretty well. It really has that late 60's style and is a good looking, head turning driver. It would be a good candidate for a complete restoration as its almost all original, or it would make someone a good weekend cruiser. Like I said earlier, my wife and I are looking for an MG, so this car has been unused on the back burner for the past 3 months or so. I have regularly started the car to keep it lubricated. It always fires right up. I'd rather see this car being used than sitting, so I figured this is the one I'd let go.
