1975 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 I built this truck in my professional FJ40 restoration shop as the ultimate dual purpose hunting rig. You can cruise 70mph down the highway and crawl through the back woods. This FJ40 was completely taken apart, all rust removed and replaced with metal, all mechanical components upgraded or rebuilt. This truck is entirely turn key for the next owner. This truck is extremely capable off road, but still retains street manners with no differential lockers. I can add front and rear lockers for $1800, but it will be no fun in town or on the highway. Buy this vehicle knowing it was professionally built in an experienced FJ40 shop, nothing was over-looked, I intended this to be my personal vehicle, but I could use the money more than another toy right now. Fuel injection make a night and day difference over a carburetor, cost a lot more to do, but well worth it. Just a few miles on the motor, I have a $5000 receipt on it. GM 4 speed (has the granny low 1st gear) much lower crawl ratio than Toyota, and much stronger. Custom professional balanced front and rear drive lines. Toyota FJ40 transfer case. Front axle is 4.10 geared with Wilwood disc brakes and drilled rotors, Warn hubs. Rear axle is stock 4.10 with drum brakes. I put small wheel spacers on this FJ to give it more stability. Saginaw power steering, Smittybuilt 8000 winch. 6 in lift kit with U-bolt skid plates, greasable pins, new shocks and steering stabilizer. Dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers (sounds really good without being obnoxious). 5 new BFG Mud Terrain 35/12.5/15 tires. Swing out tire carrier, tow hitch, custom bumpers. Body The rust was all cut out of this body and replaced with metal then sealed with POR-15. The entire undercarriage is sealed with POR-15. The body is straight, it looks nice, no rust hiding anywhere, it was all stripped to bare metal. The paint is a Realtree theme camo. It looks much better in person than in pictures, it has a 3D look to it. This is pro, not redneck back yard. Bushwacker fender flares, rock sliders, new lights all the way around, new wiring. There is a Tuffy center console with cup holders and a CD player stereo. The two back Tuffy boxes hold items and there are speakers in them. The rear bench seat folds up to a tool box underneath. New seat belts in the rear and shoulder belts up front. Front bucket seats. Complete “family” roll cage built with DOM tube. All the glass is good, everything works as it should. Buying a FJ40 like this done costs about half as it would to build it if you have the capability and time to do it. FJ40’s always go up in value, they are as safe an investment any vintage vehicle could be. This is my personal vehicle, I hold a clean and clear WA state title in my name for it. I will deliver up to 400 miles from Benton City WA for $1.50 a loaded mile. For WA buyers, it has a permanent collector plate (no reg fees ever). Canadian and international shipping is a little more tricky but can be done as well, quotes take 3-5 days for those.
