***STAY AWAY NIGERIAN 419 SCAMMERS*** ***NO INTERNATIONAL BUYERS*** I am selling my 1996 Saturn SC2. The car is in great condition for it's age and I have kept it meticulously clean. I have owned the car for three years, and it has 125,000 miles on it. In the past six months, I've replaced all four tires (four Firestone Affinity's in March, which are still under warranty), the rotors on the front wheels and pads on all four wheels, the muffler and muffler system, and the heating system. I also recharged the air conditioning system and purchased a brand-new battery less than a month ago. The car was very nice for it's time. It has a six-disc CD changer, as well an an audio equalizer. I've been very happy with it, but I'm in need something a bit bigger for a long commute. Known problems: The only major problem I'm aware of is the transmission, which is damaged and will eventually need to be replaced. I took the car to a local shop was told it should be fine as long as I don't gun the acceleration. Specifically, second gear makes a whining noise. I wouldn't trust it over a long distance. There also are some cosmetic issues that should be expected with a 15-year-old car. There are tears in the seats. The sun roof does not work, and the driver's side window has some trouble rolling all the way up. The right front headline has a gear that could be replaced, so when you turn the lights off, it makes a noise for about eight seconds. The same shop that examined the transmission told me I shouldn't bother fixing these issues because they were minor when compared with the cost of the repairs. Purchasing and pick-up: The buyer is responsible for picking up the car, which is located in Rockford, IL. When the auction closes, the sale is final. Payment is required within three days of the close of the auction. There is no reserve. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions. On Oct-06-10 at 09:42:22 PDT, seller added the following information: ***QUICK UPDATE 10/6/2010*** I'll provide a bill of sale for tax purposes at the time of pick-up for both myself and the buyer. I also wanted to disclose that a small red battery light occasionally lights up when the car is turned on. I purchased a new battery a month ago, but the light didn't turn off. I'm not sure what the issue is, but like I said, the battery is brand new. I'll provide receipts for all repairs made to the vehicle in the past 12 months.
