Vehicle Detail
I am proud to offer this rare 1994 Porsche 968 Cabriolet. This stunning Porsche is super clean in and out! Rare find this nice! Very rare Porsche. Only about 450 ever brought to US! (458 sold?) (300 + or - now?) Wow! Beautiful color combo: black over white/gray/black interior! I've owned it for 4 + years. It's loaded,.. has the following features such as: a powerful 3.0L I4 DOHC 16V FI 240HP Engine (biggest 4 cyl. in a vehicle to that time; note engine upgrades) a 6-Speed Manual Transmission first car on Earth with Variable Valve Timing (15 yrs. ahead of GM!) Driver and Passenger Front Airbags Anti-Theft Engine-Disabling Alarm System Cruise Control Canvas boot cover for top when in conv. position Automatic Climate Control Leather Seats Semi-Auto Power Conv. Top Power Door Locks/ Engine Disable Sony CD/MP3 9 and satellite ready) Premium Sound System with Bazooka Sub Genuine Porsche All Weather car cover and much more! Here's a little history of this fine automobile...(Should you check online reviews from Edmunds, etc...based on resale, ride, reliability, bang for your buck, etc. this car gets 9 to 9.5 out of 10 on any site you care to research. The 968 is a sports car sold by Porsche AG from 1992 to 1995. It took over the position in Porsche's lineup from the 944, with which it shared about 20% of its parts. The 968 became the final model in an evolving line, starting almost 20 years earlier with the introduction of the Porsche 924 and ending with the 968. The 968 was powered by an updated version of the 944's Stright 4-engine, now displacing 3.0 L and producing 240 HP! Changes to the 968's powertrain also included the addition of Porsche's then-new VarioCam variable valve timing system, newly-optimized induction and exhaust system, a dual-mass flywheel, and updated engine management electronics among other more minor revisions. The 968's engine was the largest 4-cylinder ever offered in a production car up to that time. A new 6-speed Transmission was also issued! Why this 968? Awesome Sony stereo with Bazooka sub (I'm a DJ). Have enjoyed over 4 yrs. of ownership. (I'm an old DJ and former driver's ed instructor for the local Palm Beach County School System). New sport performance tires all around, on 18" rims. (16" was stock, 17" an upgrade) 255 35 18 rear, 225 40 18 front New Zimmermann cross-drilled rotor/ceramic brake pad upgrade all around. PIAA H4 headlight upgrade. intake upgrade Brand new dealer-installed linen (fancy for off-white) leather. Brand new black convertible top. I run fresh synthetic every 5k. K & N air filter All new belts and hoses, including clutch and power steering high pressure hoses. Performance chip. Never hit /clean Carfax. All interior panels/dash sprayed to orig. color; no fading/color changes/This car looks like you time traveled back to 1994. Billy Boat Cat Back exhaust system ($1000 in the Performance Parts/Automotion catalog). "Klaus" is putting out north of 285 horses with the upgrades. Stock was 240. 0-60 in five and a half sec. Stock was 5.8. Zoom zoom. And with a 4 cyl.,... 25 average mph. Nice. Parts on this car are easy, and not crazy money like a 911. As you can tell I love my car. He's 17years old but shows well; the new leather and new top really freshen it up and you can be proud to park Klaus next to anything. I searched three months online before I chose this one from a high end dealer who took it on trade for a 996. My work with the U.S. Census has ended and I'm back looking for work and putting my baby on the block. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I'm just outside of West Palm Beach, Fl.
