1954 Chevrolet Bel Air Sedan I bought this car in 2006 as a project and as shown in the pictures I have not gained much ground since. This car would probably be considered to be in poor condition but is completely restorable. Would make an amazing custom as well. The car still has all of the original drivetrain. It has the original, free(not siezed) Blue Flame 115 engine. It is a 235 cubic inch inline six cylinder. The engine needs a carburetor and a battery and should run although I cannot be sure. Also anyone considering getting it started up would also be strongly urged to chage the oil as well as points, condensor, plugs, and wires. This will be of no consern to those who plan to use as nothing more than a boat anchor. One more note, this car is still six volt. It also still has the factory 3 speed column shifted transmission. The body is mostly solid with surface rust. There is a place on the lower driver side frirewall that is rusted through where the body is bolted to the frame. Easily fixed with some sheet metal and paint. You can see it in the pictures. The previous owner also told me he found a bondo spot in rear passenger fender with a magnet. I have not ever followed up on this to see if he was correct. As shoiwn in ther pictures, the carpet and upholstry is shot and the interior will need redone. The car is a very cool old car and I have all of the trim and parts that came on the car.One more note, I don't know that I have the right keys for this car. I have a set that was given to me when I bought it but they don't work on the car. The ignition however is not locked so they will still start it. The passenger side windows have been removed as I was working on the car. The front parking light lenses are also missing. Actually I found one but it was broke. These parts would have needed replacing anyway as they were splaying badly from age. Would make a great project for anyone looking for a restoration or a cool custom.
