Up for grabbs is a 66 VW Bus project.This bus does have rust and some patch panels as well as old body work showing through. The bus rolls freely but should be picked up with a trailer as the tires are very dry rotted. I took good pictures of the vin # and the m code plates. I am not able to track the exact year of this bus as the vin # does not match a specific year, but i have not done a lot of checking either. VW made so many different optioned busses that it may fall under a westy or an ambulance which i do not have vin codes for. The motor looks to be the original single port, but it is locked up. Tranny shifts into all gears and is probably good. The interior is missing but i am pretty sure that i have some seats for it in storage that i would be willing to sell to the winning bidder for a reasonable price. My plans for this bus was to do a lowered rat. Patch the rust holes but dont get carried away. I do have a 1968 type 1 longaxle tranny that is drum to drum and i have a used lowered front beam as well. This would slam the bus 3.5 inches front and back. I will also make those items availible to the winning bidder for $500 at the end of auction. I am sure i have a decent motor that i could sell as well as many other parts that may assist in the project. This bus has been sitting in a barn for over 15 years and the previous owner lost track of the title. I will provide a clean bill of sale to the winning bidder.
