Vehicle Detail

1966 Ford Mustang Convertible. Dark Blue with Luxury Pony Trim. Low actual miles Clear Title All matching Numbers This is a rare find in a great color with all the right options. Stored inside for years. Great Fall/Winter Project The car needs a full andcomplete restoration. It has lots of common rust, but the finished product will be worth between $25,000 -35,000 if restored properly Here is the factory information on the car: Warranty Number: 6F08Cxxxxxx Year: 6 1966 Plant: F Dearborn, MI Body Series: 08 Convertible Engine: C 289 2v V8 Miscellaneous Vehicle Data Body: 76B Convertible, Pony Interior Color: K Nightmist Blue Metallic Trim: 62 Lt. Blue Crinkle Vinyl and White Crinkle Vinyl, Pony Interior Date: 01M December 01, 1965 D.S.O: 33 Detroit Axle: 6 2.80:1, Conventional Trans: 6 C4 Automatic This car has been stored inside for a number of years, with nothing really done to it. The last time it's been on the road was back in the mid 70's. Everything is original on the car. Someone repainted parts of it maybe in early 1970's. (but it doesn't seem to be because of any accident, but simply for new paint). The bumpers are Ok. The hood and hinges work very well. The engine is all intact, and seems to be the original engine. 289 2bbl. The fan turns so the engine doesn't seem to be frozen. There still is antifreeze in the radiator. The transmission lever shifts, but I'm not sure the linkage is connected because I can't find neutral. The rear of the drive shaft was disconnected and wired up so the car rolls around nicely. Since the car rolls around very nicely, and should be able to be shipping on a flatbed truck to just about anywhere. If you are shipping this type of car oversea please check with the carrier to make sure they know that the car does not run. . All the sheet metal is original. (no body work has done) The doors, a front fender, the hood and deck lid are fine. They may need some work. The deck lid and hood seem solid. The hood opens and closes nice. The doors stick and are harder to open because the car has a little snag now and will need attention. The door will open though. The cowl seems OK. All the glass is original and intact, but the front windshield has maybe a small stone clip The car has the full floor console in good condition. The pony seats are in pretty good shape- .The left Rocker seems better on the right. The right is rusted in the front as you can see from one of the pictures of the floor on the passengers side. The carpet is original in the front. and the blue shag rug in the back is very 70's. The seat tracks are great The whole bottom will need to be replaced or repaired. The floorboards are no good , but the seats platforms are OK. The front rail and rear are still intact but will need attention. the torque boxes are weak but still there weakly hold the rear springs . The rear springs are still in place and are still attached to the trunk. I have seem much worse and much better undersides than this car. Just let me know and I can take pictures of anything you want. I don't want any surprises. The Convertible top looks in wonderful condition with only a small inch long tear , but the back plactic has turned cloudy and would at least need replacing. The power top motor seems fine and should work, and the latches for the top open and close nicely. The chrome is all on the car and in OK condition. There is a Jack in the trunk, along with the orig mat Nothing has been removed from this car as far as I can tell. I tried to write all I remember about the car, but I'm sure there is something I forgot. Please email me with any questions. The pictured should fill in any blanks. The car may be seen anytime before the end of the auction, just email . I also have tons more picture. You can only put in 24 pictures into listing, so I can email you any other pictures the you need. Once the auction has end the car is sold to the highest bidder. The car was sold earlier this month by the Candian bidder never can or paid. I don't want to go through listing it again so please know that the final bids are binding I have the clean title for the car. I have an owners manual for a 1966 Mustang that I will sell with the car, and some papers that were in the car. The car will need a complete restoration, please know that, and don't be surprised, but there are not many of the survivor cars left to find like this one. Don't miss out on it. I have set a reasonable reserve (please don't ask) on the car and it should sell well beyond that and also a buy now price. Buyer is responsible for shipping and it's costs. The car does not run, but it rolls nicely. I will sell international, but be aware of shipping costs before you bid. The car is sold AS-IS $500 deposit is needed within 24 hours after the end of the auction, and the balance due with-in 7 days. This is a great piece of American History. I don't have time for this project, so I decided to sell it. Buyers are always looking for "Real Pony interior. V-8 in a great color combination" like this car is. Thank you for bidding
