Vehicle Detail
This one-owner car has served us very well since we bought it new in 1998. It has a leather interior, steering wheel controlled radio/CD player, aluminum wheels, and a supercharger. This car will run like a scalded dog with 290 HP. The engine has been very well cared for, and there are no problems with the engine. I changed the oil, with Castrol Syntec Blend, since day one when the oil computer said that the oil life was 50%. In other words, I changed the oil twice as often as needed with oil that is twice as good. The engine is the best it can be for the mileage it has. It's smooth running, and the boost from the supercharger makes merging in traffic a whole lot easier. It has never been smoked in, and the interior looks great. The car does need some attention, though. The blower motor needs changing, and the brakes might need to be looked at. The rotors look good through the wheels, but there is some noise coming from the right front wheel. This might be the squeeler, that is there to tell you the brakes need changed, or it might be something else. I have too many projects to look into this problem. The driver's window switch needs to be replaced because the window will not go down. I think I will be able to change out the switch and make this work. The tires are at the end of their life and need to be changed. The cruise control, traction control and ABS do not work any more due to a wiring problem. We drove over something on the interstate a number of years ago that tore out the wiring harness. We had it repaired, and everything worked for a period of time. We have driven the car for about 5 years without needing either the traction control or the ABS. I do want to note that there is no sun roof. For some reason, the VIN says there is one. I can not explain that. Here is the honest truth: with a little maintenance, this car could last another 100,000 miles or more. KBB and NADA says this car is worth about $2,500 in the condition it is in. If someone out there needs basic transportation and is willing to put a little into it, this will be a great car, that is the bottom line. I will need a $250 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of the end of the auction with the balance due at pickup of within 10 days. If other arrangements need to be made, please contact me. Thank you so much, and if you have any questions, please ask.
