Vehicle Detail
For Sale is a 1998 BMW R1200C Motorcycle (30,500 Miles). This amazing bike is as awesome as it looks. Runs great! Looks great! BMW reliability with cool style on the bike with character. Includes Phoenix rearview mirrors and just serviced. Bike is equipped with ABS, but when after the battery was replaced the ABS stopped working properly. I am told it just needs to be reset at the shop. However, I cannot guarantee that the ABS is easily fixed so please bid accordingly. All fluids have been replaced, valves adjusted, rear seal replaced by BMW mechanic and bike cleaned up. This bike is in good condition for the mileage, and these engines regularly go for well over 100,000 miles. I am the second owner and have garaged the bike and never laid it down. Please check out the pictures or feel free to come see the bike for yourself near Portsmouth and Manchester NH. Also - there are scuffs on the bottom side of both cylinder heads. As you'll see from these pictures, it can be hard to notice, but in the interest of full disclosure they're there. If you can't see them well in these pictures how noticeable can they be? When the valves were adjusted these cylinder heads were inspected thoroughly and are structurally sound. Here's some text I stole from some BMW advertising: Looks great. Rides better. Front suspension control is provided by BMW’s famous Telelever system, with its unique anti-dive properties. It’s mounted to a cast-aluminum front-frame section. A Monolever adjustable suspension, alloy hub and wire wheel bring up the rear, soaking up bumps without altering your line in the turns. What you’ve got with this combination is superb handling unmatched by any of the competition. The R 1200 C has plenty of style, but what distinguishes it is how it rides. It’s the only cruiser with ABS. It’s got digital electronic fuel injection. At 565 pounds, it’s lighter than any other premium cruiser. This all adds up to a cruiser that doesn’t have to make apologies as a motorcycle. It’s 100 percent BMW. BMW handling. Are all of your roads perfectly smooth? Or do you ride in the “real world”? With the R 1200 C, you can carve up the corners with the sport bikes. The trade-mark BMW Boxer twin provides a low center of gravity for excellent balance, even at low speeds. Here is a cruiser for riding, not posing. Send me an email with any questions! On Aug-28-10 at 17:27:34 PDT, seller added the following information: PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS A 1998 MODEL YEAR BIKE. THE DESCRIPTION ABOVE SAYS ITS BOTH A 1998 AND A 2000. IT IS A 98 AND ALL THE OTHER DETAILS IN THE DESCRIPTION ARE CORRECT. SORRY FOR THE CONFUSION.
