It is a turbo diesel with an engine life expectancy of 500,000 miles before a rebuild. This is considered one of Mercedes Benz’ crowning achievements and one of the most sought after models. There are currently 207,001 original miles on the car, which are very low miles for this wagon. 1985 is the last year these legendary wagons with the cast iron heads were produced by hand out of the Mercedes Benz factory in Stuttgart Germany and it is considered the best year by many collectors.
