Vehicle Detail

1968 Oldsmobile Toronado. This is an original 1968 Toronado with 79233 miles. The original owner's manual and "Protect-O-Plate" are in the glovebox. It has the original 455 cubic inch engine with the automatic transmission. I have taken numerous pictures of the car to show that it is almost completely rust free. The interior is completely original and it has never been painted. The floors and trunk are solid and it starts, stops, and drives well. I just completed a 50 mile trip in the car and it runs very well. There is an after-market temperature gauge tastefully installed in the dash in place of the original temp light. All of the original equipment works with minor exceptions. The power seats work as they should, the air-conditioning works well, the power windows all work with the exception of the front passenger's side window. The dash lights, headlights, dome light, and turn indicator lights, even the glovebox light, work as they should. The brake lights need attention. The car is currently registered and driven with Utah "Vintage Vehicle" plates. I have a clear title in my name. I will gladly assist you with shipping the car anywhere in the world. I highly value my 100% positive feedback score on Ebay and I want the new owner to be satisfied with the car. With this in mind, the following areas of the car need improvement. 1. The front driver's side seat is tattered and needs attention. (Please see the photo.) 2. The hood needs adjustment. (Please look closely at the photos.) It is not a serious problem, but the hood could be aligned better. It opens and closes as it should and the unique hood opening key is in the glovebox. 3. The headlight doors have been removed. The headlights work well, but the vacuum operated headlight doors were removed due to consistent problems. Often these vacuum operated headlight doors were a problem for Oldsmobile owners. Factory design changes in newer models, removed the doors due to the consistent problems. 4. The wheel caps are missing. The car has the original rims, but is missing the wheel caps. 5. There is a little CV click on the driver's side front wheel. With these negatives in mind, I want to be sure you know exactly what you are bidding on. This is an original, good driving Toronado and could be driven daily as it currently sits. This is a "No Reserve Auction." If you bid $1700.00 and no one else bids higher, you will own a good driving, original 1968 Toronado. If you have less than 10 positive feedbacks in your Ebay feedback score, please email me or call, before bidding. My home phone number is (801) 745-0599. I want this to be a good auction without having to sort out problem bidders. I hope you understand. Good luck bidding and if you have any questions, please email them to me or give me a call.
