Lovingly restored 1973 BMW 2002tii. Built late in 1972, but titled as a 1973, and includes all 1973 options. Working original factory sunroof. 1973 is probably the best year for the Tii and a favorite year for 2002’s. Only about 7500 of these cars were imported to the US in 1972, 1973 and the final year of 1974. Features the factory 4-speed transmission. I also have a 3 series 5-speed transmission and rear limited slip differential that I will include with the sale. Many people feel this is an important upgrade, but before I installed them I drove the car with the 4-speed and really enjoyed it. So I never put them in. I have owned the car for about 7 years. Features: Upgraded Ricarro bucket seats reupholstered with new foam in original style deluxe fabric. Rear seat also reupholstered to match door panels. New carpet as well. (I just didn't have a vacuum cleaner with me when I took the photos.) Repainted in the original manufacturer’s color, Sahara Beige. Includes the exterior, trunk and engine compartment. The car is rust-free. All corroded areas were removed and new metal welded in. All affected areas were treated with POR-15 rust inhibitors prior to repainting. This product has a lifetime rust-free guarantee. The car looks as good as it did the day we finished. It has been stored inside since completion. Working seat adjustments, seat belts, wipers, gauges and warning lights. New Bilstein shocks. This car has been lowered 1.5 inches to increase handling performance. As with most tii’s, the clock does not work. The clock photo also shows the crack in the dashboard. Runs and drives great. This car runs well and can be enjoyed as-is. The hood and floor boards are heat and soundproofed with Dynamat. The odometer reads 8242. I am not the original owner and cannot speculate on actual mileage.
