Vehicle Detail

Please read entire description. It has all the good stuff as well as the bad that I know of. I try to be as honest as possible but remember this car is 35 years old and far from perfect. Please ask any questions you might have that is not covered and I will give you a straight up honest awnser. Thanks! I purchased this car over a year ago here on eBay. I don’t know a lot about the car because I never had it registered to drive. In Missouri all cars must pass a safety inspection. When I took the car in for a check I was told the car needed a new upper control arm bushing, and a new idler arm, and some exhaust work. On the exhaust it also has a leak comming from the drivers side manifold. I was planning on putting dual exhaust on it. I did also notice the catalytic converter has been removed. I had the rear brakes completely rebuilt and fluid flushed. I also had 4 new tires installed. The car has been parked in my garage since and I am selling because I have lost interest and do not want to put any more money into something I don’t intend on keeping. The car does have a problem starting if it sits for more than 2 days. I am thinking it might need a fuel pump or maybe the float from the carburetor could be sticking shut from not being driven. You can poor a little gas down the carb and it fires right up and runs great! As long as it is started every 2 days you’re ok. Maybe it will fix itself if it was driven on a regular basis. Once it is started it runs fine. The choke works great idles up as it should on cold starts hit the gas and it idles down to normal. I don’t know but I really don’t believe this is any big deal. I think the car just needs to be driven. The car is real clean for 35 year olds. It has been re-painted at some point and could use another to be really nice. The only rust areas I could see was some bubbling starting under the vinyl top on the back near the trunk area and a some around the edge of vinal top that looks like it has been repaired. The panels are all solid. I ran a magnet around the car and it stuck everywhere I placed it. There are a few dents. One on driver’s front fender and the other on the passenger door bottom area. (See Pictures) The underside of the car is very clean with no leaks. The doors shut easy and solid with no sag whatsoever. The AC turns on but compressor does not engage. The heater core has been bypassed so I don’t know if it needs replacing. The interior is very nice showing hardly any wear. The headliner is great also. The front windshield seal is bad. When you wash the car it drips water inside. I keep the car parked at all times in my garage so this has not been a problem. The dash does show a little heat warping but I don’t see any cracks. This car spent most all its life in Florida. The drivers side electric window switch takes some extra pressure to make the passenger window work. It just needs a new switch. The window motors are great and the windows go up and down great. The 350 Olds Engine starts and runs great. (With exception of issue as described above) The turbo 350 transmission works as it should. The speedo shows mileage at 63,412 and I would not be surprised if they are original. It does not look like engine has ever been out of the car. I also have the dealer invoice on the car that shows its options and price. It has electric door locks, cruise control, electric windows, electric trunk release and tilt wheel. Very well optioned. The trunk is very nice and has the original Olds Mat still in there. For serious buyers with cash in hand that would like to discuss the car further please call 417-942-2458 and leave a message and the best time to call you back. For casual lookers I would still be happy to answer email questions. This car is being sold as is with no guarantees or warrantees of any kind. I have tried to describe the car to the best of my knowledge considering I have not driven it more than 10 miles since I have owned it. Buyer is responsible for shipping but I will help loading the car with a transport company. The car should not be driven away as it is not registered and really should be gone through before taking on any long drives. Oil change, ect.. The Engine has been started on a regular basis to keep everything lubed up. I have a Clear Missouri Title in hand and in my name. For payment I will accept cash on pick up, or a bank wire transfer. Car will not leave until my bank confirms payment has been received on a wire transfer. Also check my feedback, I have been a Ebay member 10 years with all positive feedbacks buying and selling. Thanks for looking! Update: 9-15-10....Here is some video I shot of the car. I made this in July and is a walk around of the car and engine running. I was hesitant to put this up because the video sometimes stops and starts I dont know why. Also the car is very dirty in this video. But if you can see through the dirt you can see how the car looks and runs. I also should point out the pictures of the outside of car were taken last fall. The interior pictures were taken this summer. Nothing has changed since the outdoor pics were taken except the car has gotten dirty from being parked all year in my garage. It just needs a good washing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UuXrqcD_yU
