Up for Bid. 1968 Ford Mustang GT Fastback. Here is the car by the Numbers 63A - FASTBACK 02 J - 302 4V V-8 eng F- Gulfstream Auqa 2A- standard interior 15- Neward OD 7- 3.25 Axle W- C-4 automatic trans with power steering My plan was to keep this car forever, but plans have changed and you can pick up on this wonderful opportunity. it is an extremely solid car with very little rust. It starts and drives like a dream. Even though this car looks like a Shelby, it most likely is not- You can look for yourself. It like an earlier GT350 Clone from the late 80's or 90's I think. The wheels, armrest, steering wheel, hood, and decklid are all Shelby and could be original., but no rollbar. The car original color is that beautiful Gulfstream agua. This car looks great from 14 feet. Every time I take it out for a ride I get thumbs up from a lot of people. It is painted the marron with rally stripes. I took a nice picture of how the clearcoat has faded in 4 or five areas of the car. There are some small scraches and chips, but it's still a sharp car. All the frame rails are storng strong running engine- you could drive the car almost anywhere. tires and wheel are good. The doors open and close perfectly. -interior as great body is straight The engine bay and towers are great. The buck tag and Fender Vin are still in place The top,glass, and drip rails are in good condition. The transmission shift smoothly Aftermarket radio Drive drive seems original. a small drip from the driveshaft seal which will be easy to replace. The floor boards are ok, there has been a patch put on the drivers side floorboards, it works good and the patch can be seen from underneath the car. 3 out of the 4 torque boxes are good.( The front passenger side needs alittle work) The bad area of runt are at the lower rear quaters where the bottom of the drop meets the rear quaters. The right is worst, but the left is rusted through too at the bottom edge. Both lower edge coners have some small paint bubbles in the corner. The perivious owner has cut a hole about 2 inches accross on the inside of the door jam (Like he wanted to get access to the backside of the drivers door lock cylinder). You can not see the hole with the door closed.That is about it for the bad areas that I can find. It's not bad for the Mustang model. I have lots of pictures that I can email you. just ask.
