This Trans Am is a great car that has been well taken care of. Everything is in great condition. The Trans Am for 1979 has restyled deck lid spoiler along with new front air dam and rear wheel opening air spoilers. All new \"bird\" decals are available for the Trans Am and exterior colors have been increased to nine. Four-wheel disc brakes are available for the first time and special Trans Am performance package is again offered featuring the Trans Am 6.6-litre (400 c.i.d.) four-barrel V-8 engine. This is a very well equipped car that was purchased new from Courtesy Pontiac-Buick Inc. in Coos Bay Oregon. I believe it to be a two owner car with original miles, numbers matching, original paint and interior. Build sheet is included with all factory specifications. Condition: Mechanically this vehicle is in excellent condition. It runs and drives great with good acceleration and precise handling. The engine provides 220 horse power at 4000 rpms, runs strong with no smoke or any apparent leaks. Original shaker hood,air cleaner and trim. This engine is 8.1 compression ratio factory and has not been altered. The original factory 4 speed transmission shifts smooth and the clutch is good. There are no unusual noises or vibrations when running or driving. Factory 4 wheel disc brakes are good (new calipers, rotors and pads on rear). This would make a excellent addition to any collection or start of a new one. A great driver or local show car. All of the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems appear to be working properly. The exterior condition is very good with bright and shiny paint. There are minimal chips or blemishes in the paint (not visible in photos). There are no signs of repaint. The trim including chrome and stainless is in good shape with minimal nicks and scuffs. All decals are original and in good condition with some minor blemishes that are not visible in photo (no apparent cracks). All Trans Am components including front air dam, black grill, rear spoiler, sport mirrors, rear wheel air deflectors and trim are original and in good condition. Original Endura bumpers are excellent with no visible cracking or warping. All body panels are original with no signs of previous damage. Windows and glass are good and all work properly. All of the exterior components appear to be complete and working properly. The interior is in very good condition with only minimal wear. This car shows exceptionally well with all original interior components. Factory original velour bucket seat are very good with no visible wear. Carpets are original. Door panels are excellent as well as the dash and console with no cracks or discoloration. Rally instrument panel with tachometer is in good working condition. Shoulder harness seat belts are original and in good working order. Headliner is good with some shrinking around edges. Trim from windshield to headliner shows some deterioration at glass. There are no unusual smells or odors in this vehicle. The engine compartment, undercarriage and trunk are clean original and complete. All engine and drive components are original. Engine compartment is clean and un-molested. Undercarriage is original with no rust or corrosion anywhere and shows no damage or repairs. Spare wheel, tire and jack are in good condition. There are no signs of rust or corrosion anywhere. Wheels and Tires are in very good condition. The wheels are original factory Rally II alloy wheels chrome with no apparent scuffs. The wheels are wrapped in a set of BF Goodrich Radial T/A 235-60R15 with a good amount of tread left. This is a truly exceptional vehicle and an outstanding value!
