monkeys2 Store 1997 Jaguar XK8 2-door NO RESERVE Only 99k! Up for sale is a 97 XK8 with only 99 thousand miles on it and it will be selling on a NO RESERVE auction. The transmission will need some attention we bought it from a dealer auction the way it is and were able to drive it out to the car trailer and backed it off later, the transmission seems to start off in a very high gear going forward, reverse seems to be fine. The dash says "transmission fault", I have heard that sometimes when a transmission needs work it will put its self into "limp" mode so maybe that is what it is doing but i'm not really sure. We have not had it looked at by any mechanics and I am not a mechanic myself so we really have no clue as to what the problem is. With that said I would like to point out that we will be selling the car AS IS NO WARRANTY, you will have to get the transmission fixed yourself. The body is in very good shape the only defects we could find were some very minor scuffs and a few minor stress cracks on the front bumper and some fading on the hood and top of the car other than that the body appears to be in very good shape and with a little bit of buffing the fading should come out. This car has very low miles for the year, the miles being 99226. The Interior is also in good shape although the headliner is not, the headliner will probably need to be replaced sometime in the future (see pics) The battery also needs to be charged or replaced. The check engine light is on. The rear view mirror is missing (see pics). If you have any questions please feel free to email us any time.
