Vehicle Detail
Running & Driving California Desert 1960 Studebaker Lark, 4 dr sedan, flathead 6 cyl., column standard shift w/Over Drive. Mileage is obviously more that on odometer. NEW fuel pump for ethanol laced gasoline, carb. rebuilt w/NEW ethanol resistant parts, NEW dry type airfilter, NEW radiator hoses. NO rust holes or cancer in body only surface rust on outside! Not even in the usual Lark front fenders near the front door hinge area. Floorboards and trunk are clean, all glass very good w/NO bubbles, rock chips, or shadows, windows roll-up/down easy, all doors close with single finger push, original locks w/keys, original spare tire w/cover, complete original working jack assy, original "dog dish" hubcaps in trunk also (Studebaker wheel covers on car now), has "unusual" Lark split back front bench seat. NEW master cylinder and NEW wheel cylinders (not NOS old stuff) all four wheels, NEW brake relined shoes on rear, NEW front brake flexible hoses, NEW tires on rear, gas tank cleaned out and fuel level gauge accurate, NEW 12 volt battery, NEW battery cables, NEW spark plugs, NEW wires/cap, points, rotor, condenser, exhaust system has no holes, all gauges work, radio turns on but NO music, NEW repo glove box. Car has "Cigar Lighter" delete but ashtrays! Seat upholstery is under large silver vinyl that I have not removed since buying the car. Original blue rear carpet is in place. Shiny areas in the photos of the front floorboards are the flash reflection from the black coating/paint on the floor. I have not had this car on the freeway, only driven around the neighborhood - many "Victory Laps" to verify that the car systems work as I was proceeding through the car restoration. Still a few things to sort out. Comes with a replacement rust free right front fender complete to replace the existing one that has a wrinkle in it and a complete rust free left read panel to replace the existing one that has a dent in the left rear wheel arch front area from a long ago tire tread separation(?). I was working to make everything original. This car is a "bump the ignition key" starting car. I am retiring @ 65 and need to reduce my number of cars for moving out of state. This car was last registered in 1979(!) with California Black Plates by the original owner and sat in a garage out of harms way. Bought from an estate sale and originally was going to keep this one to drive in retirement but changed my mind. I will store this car for 30 days FREE after all payments have been received and can go beyond that after we talk to help in pick up. The deposit due at close of auction is $500 and the remainder within 3 days-cash is good! BUY IT NOW must pay full amount at close of sale.
