Vehicle Detail
Got a 1971 Lincoln Continental Mark 3 This vehicle was made between 1969 and 1971 and has fairly low production numbers that are believed to have not exceeded 30,000 cars per year. The Engine is an amazingly built 460 dove engine with a stock 365 horsepower. It is an automatic and is believed to have the c6 transmission and believed to have come with a 9inch rearend. Everything on the vehicle is stock. I bought the car in 2003, it had a small radiator in it, but it ran good. I pulled the small radiator out and was set to put a larger one in it (the correct one) but, I didnt get around to it and the fuel prices went to such astronomical prices that I wasnt planning to drive it anywhere when gas was four dollars a gallon. Car has been setting eversince, Everything drivetrain and engine wise was in great working order, had my son turn the engine and I crunk it up, This car aint perfect and would need restoration to be driven, but is a solid Georgia car. Im going to list the pro's and cons, and will tell you that I honestly dont know exactly what might need to be replaced after sitting up, I know the engine cranks, the transmission and rearend were good when it was parked. I can only assume that much will need to be done in reconditioning to get this one road worthy, I know for a fact it needs a radiator, passengerside small glass, the driverside window is off track, the passengerside door closes sometimes but is trouble at other times, the horn was disconnected, because it wouldnt shut off when I sat a battery in to crank it, in all, I assume fuel lines, gas tank, brakes brake lines. and several other things would need to be looked at and reconditioned to make road worthy that is why I am selling this vehicle as a parts vehicle and offer no warranty on anything, what you see is what you get.. I can crank the engine for you, you can inspect the car, I can get you a series of pictures of anything and everything on the car, I do know the engine being a dove engine and having a factory 365 horsepower is worth some money, car is fairly complete minus radiator, has all emblems has a good front grill and decent bumpers, inside because the windows got some moisture in it and the seats and dash and interior would need to be cleaned, Im selling this car as a great parts car to restore a more admirable model for someone, or if you wish to partake the task in restoring this car then so be it, as long as it is Understood that I am selling the vehicle as a parts car and it is sold "as is" All in all, the car is fair and worth every penny im asking. you can call me at (706)534-9979 with questions, if you send me a message, please include your email address so I can send you a photobucket link to the additional pics and video of engine running. PLEASE DO NOT BID, IF YOU CANNOT TOW THE VEHICLE HOME WITH YOU, I WILL ACCEPT CASH AND CASH ONLY.. Bill of sale will be written when sold. On Sep-08-10 at 10:55:49 PDT, seller added the following information:Mileage on odometer states 26,--- miles, obviously, as old as this car is, you would assume more miles have been driven and that the mileage has rolled over. just wanted to add that note. any questions just ask.
