Vehicle Detail

Have you ever wanted to reexperience the happy days of the sixties and seventies? If so, you may be interested in my 1971 VW Westfalia bus, which is in great mechanical shape and beautiful to look at. It has been a daily driver for me for the past two years. It has never failed me at any time. It always starts right up--and has not quit on me--not even once! The previous owner, who owned it for a couple of decades spared no expense in keeping it in top condition (in salt free Washington and Oregon). There are well more than 10K in receipts for all the work he had done. Two years ago, the transmission and engine were redone. Both are in great shape. The steering is tight. Brakes and electrical are in very good shape. If you want a VERY reliable bus, this is it. I am selling it at NO RESERVE--so, it will go to a new home. Maybe yours? Aside from reliability, what I like most about the bus is its originality. Over the years most buses have lost that original feel. This one retains a very original new feel to it. It has the reliable singel barrel carburation system (easy to work on). It has the original saphire radio which still works! The original regular heating system still works The dash is pristine. The previous owner did move the ignition switch from the column to the dash--but this is about all that was changed. Its exterior is very nice. It was repainted a few years ago (a very nice job using the original color), and the glass was taken out and new rubber seals were put in. The interior paint is original and still is very nice and shiney. The front seats were reupholstered. Chrome parts were replaced. The body is pretty much flawless with no imperfections. Floors are solid. The cabinets are nice, but under the back seat, there is a hole in the wood where there used to be a speaker. It has the child's cot, upper bunk, and fold out bed. This bus is a head-turner, and I get a lot of nice comments whereever I go. It is a real conversation piece. If you want a reliable, cosmetically nice bus, I think it would be hard to find a better one. Please only bid if you are serious. I do require a paypal deposit within 24 hours. Thanks!!
