Vehicle Detail
Two of my cars were recently totalled in freak accidents and so, sadly, I am forced to sell my Speedmaster. It runs like a top and I wont see the darn thing again so let us get it into a good home. I had a 24k tune up & valve adjustment at the Triumph dealership in San Bernardino (Douglas Motorsports - highly recommended) in April with about 50 miles put on it since then, and had a set of brand new Metzler tires installed front and rear. Full carb adjustment. New rear brake pads and replacement of the front oil fork seal. My ignition box was failing during startup so I had a replacement installed. The work they did is a $1,610 investment that you do not now have to make. I have the receipt. I also have the title in hand and the California tags are good until March of 2011. The bike has the stock two-seat with passenger pegs, luggage rack, dual fog lamps on the chrome light bar, chrome chain guard, and the Triumph windscreen. Dual saddlebags. These extras were all installed at the dealership (probably Brea Motorsports) when new. I am the second owner and have not ridden this crazily whatsoever. I have always garaged it. The previous owner let it fall over a few times so theres a few minor dings, including a golf-ball sized circular dent in the tank with no paint loss. The light bar isnt well grounded at the factory so I've lost a few bulbs but Douglas says they have that corrected. The windscreen may not look cool, but its very effective for those long trips and can be taken off for in-town riding. The bike has the straight bar, which I didnt like at first now it feels much better than the curved bar or the partial ape-hangers other guys have. Better controlled ride-feel with the bar. Harley riders stop, look, and admire. Its got that logo on the tank that catches the eye and those great lines that these Triumphs are proud of. Slim people can ride this bike with ease. If you are under 5-6" I suggest installing the curved bar so has to have a few more inches reach. If you were to buy a new Speedmaster in California with all of the noted extras, it would cost you over $8,000 with user fee and license. If you wish to look my bike over, please call 626.862.1489 and leave a message. I will not ship this bike: you will have to pick it up. But its ready for a long, wonderful ride. You can pay with cash, a bank cashiers check, or USPO money orders (recommended) but it has to be handed off within 3 days of winning this listing on ebay. If not, lousy feedback whining and complaining will be dished out. You can also pay with Paypal, but I suggest using Paypal at pickup, and submitting the payment right then and there. We can always meet at the local McDonalds and bring your laptop for the Paypal payment. I will be alerted of the payment thru my phone.
