This is a no reserve auction for my 1986 Ford F350 Diesel 4x4 with dump body and snow plow. I bought this with all intentions of restoring it, but it is more than I want to get into. Exterior of the truck is rough. Cab corners are gone and the hood has bondo falling out of it. Couple of the cab mounts need to replaced. Floor boards have been tinned. Front and rear inside tires are in good shape. Rear outside tires are dry rotted. Diesel engine runs good. No excessive smoke on cold start and no smoking when warm. I did just change the engine oil and filter. I also changed the fuel filter out. Interior is rough. Seat has been changed, dash is cracked and the glove box is missing. There are no keys for the truck. A previous owner has set up two toggle switches under the dash that you turn on. Wait for the glow plugs and turn the ignition switch. One of the battery mounts has rusted out. Dump body goes up and down, but blows all the fluid out of the top of the resevoir when you put it down. Dump is electric over hydraulic and there must be a problem on the return line side.Snow plow goes up and down/side to side (single lever control). One of the hoses is backwards though..you angle right the plow goes left and vice versa. Cutting edge is warn on the blade and it has worn down a couple of the spring mounts on the bottom of the plow. The truck does need some brake work up front (leak). I have not jacked the truck up, so I don't know how the ball joints, tie rod ends etc. are. Frame on the truck is solid. Speedometer is broken, so true mileage is unknown. While the condition of the truck is rough, the dump body and diesel engine are worth something. Truck would be a good farm vehicle or if you have a bigger garage than I do, it could be put back on the road with some work. Please email or call me at 207-549-7441 for more info.
