OF THE 76189 OLDS 98's THAT WERE MADE IN 1967, ONLY 3769 WERE CONVERTIBLES. NOW AFTER THE LAST 43 YEARS, HOW MANY DO YOU SUPPOSE MADE IT? EVEN IF 10% OF THE ORIGINAL 3769 HAVE SURVIVED, THAT STILL ONLY LEAVES ABOUT 377 OF THEM OUT THERE! ALTHOUGH IT HAS BEEN SITTING IN STORAGE A LONG TIME, WE PUT A BATTERY IN IT & IT CRANKS RIGHT OVER & SOUNDS GOOD. IT WILL NEED ALL NEW CAP, ROTOR, PLUGS & WIRES, BUT A FRESH TUNEUP SHOULD MAKE IT RUN AGAIN. THE FRONT BUMPER NEEDS SOME STRAIGHTENING, OR PROBABLY EASIER TO FIND ANOTHER 4 DOOR 98 & GRAB THE BUMPER. OTHERWISE THE REST OF THE FRONT END LOOKS PRETTY GOOD. THIS ONE WILL MAKE A GREAT CAR TO RESTORE BECAUSE IT IS INCREDIBLY SOLID. WE HAVEN'T FOUND ANY ADVANCED RUST ON IT ANYWHERE! ESPECIALLY SOLID & CLEAN FOR BEING OVER 40 YEARS OLD! WE HAVE HAD THIS TRUCK UP ON A HOIST & LOOKED IT OVER PRETTY THOROUGHLY & IT IS OVERALL VERY SOLID THROUGHOUT. THE ONLY AREAS WE FOUND WITH RUST ON THE WHOLE CAR WERE SURFACE RUST SPOTS WHERE THE PAINT OR CHROME HAD WORN THIN. OTHERWISE, SOLID FLOORBOARDS SOLID DOORS, SOLID FENDERS SOLID HOD SOLID QUARTERS SOLID ROCKERS ETC.! HERE ARE THE PARTICULARS: VIN: 384677M176860 ODOMETER READING: 18685 LIKE ALL OF OUR VEHICLES 10 YEARS & OLDER IT IS BEING SOLD AS: TRUE MILES UNKNOWN. SOLD AS: MILES EXEMPT. IMPORTANT TITLE INFO: The title we have for it is an Oregon "Lien Sale" title & it will come with a Bill of Sale as well. This is done when the former title is not surrendered to the new owner & it clears any & all former liens & owners off the title & allows the new owner to get a clear new title for the vehicle. This is everything that the new buyer will need in the State of Oregon to transfer the title & get a new title in their name.
