1997 Taurus SHO!!!! A unique car. The engine runs great. This V-8 powered engine is only found in a Taurus SHO. The transmission however needs overhauled. There was a bad transmission fluid leak.. I took it to a repair shop and had new seals put in the transmission pump and had a new torque converter put in. The mechanic said that an overhaul would be wise. I refused that and had him put it back together anyway to see if it would work. Well .. 1st and second work fine but it does not shift into 3rd or 4th. Reverse is strong. So the trans needs rebuilt. The car is loaded.. power windows, mirrors, seat, sunroof A./c works, cruise works leather interior a little bit of rust 168,000 miles but well taken care of. send questions to tmbandit@verizon.net or call Thad at 570-765-4401
