Vehicle Detail
THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION. HIGH BIDDER WILL OWN THIS VERY NICE 442!! I just found this 442 in central Indiana in a pole barn with a cement floor. It has been up on jack stands since 1990. The car ran and drove with no problems. The owner wanted to do a full restoration on the car with his son but his son never had any interest in the car so it just sat there waiting on me to find it. The pictures are of the car as I found it. It was originally a blue/blue car and someone painted the car with, what appears to me to be, laquer in the middle 1980's and did not do a very nice job. The paint job is at least a "100 footer".The engine is free and turns over fine. I have not tried to start the car because I don't want to suck a bunch of crap out of the fuel lines or gas tank into the carburator. The car appears to be all there and stock. The radio has been replaced by some junk radio/casette player but they did not butcher up the dash making the change over. A stock radio should go right back in with no modifications or problems. All of the glass is good including the glass rear glass window in the convertable top. The top looks good except for one small cut/tear on the passenger side that I have shown in the pictures. The interior will clean up nice. Carpet is faded. Dash looks very nice. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have and you are welcome to come and look at the car by appointment only. The winning bidder is responsible for all shipping arrangements and the costs for shipping. I can help load, and have the equipment to load open or closed trailers of just about any kind.On Sep-10-10 at 12:43:28 PDT, seller added the following information: I have posted additional pictures of the engine and cowl tag. PLEASE LOOK AT THE ADDITIONAL PICTURES!!! I believe this is a numbers matching car. The cowl tag is as follows: 11C ST 68 33667 LAN 191050 Body TR 953 D4 Paint I have listed the vin number in the auction. The casting number on the heads is 394548 also has CFD cast in them. The casting number on the block behind the water pump is 396026. Someone painted the engine the same color blue as the outside of the car. The motor was GOLD and you can see the Gold paint in the picture of the engine on the valve covers.
