1967 Chevrolet Chevelle I built this car over the past 3 years with the idea of making the fastest street legal pump gas motor car out there. I just completed this car last winter, have taken it to all the local car shows, it gets amazing attention. You can cruise this car in 100 degree heat, run the highway, drive it in traffic, and take it to the track. I have $77,000 into this car and have most of the receipts to back it up. I own a professional restoration shop, I specialize in Toyota FJ40’s, but old Chevy muscle is my passion. I spared no expense on this car, everything was bought new. I’ve sold off my entire vehicle collection in the past year to help expand my business and buy a new home. This is the last expensive toy I have, I tried to hang on to it, but can’t afford to do all the other things that are more important right now. Mechanical Chevy 454 bored 60 over, steel crank and rods, forged pistons. Balanced with GM 1970 Aluminum ZL1 heads (rectangle port). Ever see ZL1 heads anymore? Those heads get more attention than anything else. Mechanical roller cam 652 lift, Edelbrock intake, Holley 850 street carb, March front end setup. I could write a novel about this motor, but will say I have $19,000 invested, it has 400 miles on it, makes an honest estimated 675 Horse Power. 10:5:1 compression. 3000 stall converter, Manual reverse valve body Turbo 400 trans with a trans brake and line lock. This car is very streetable, really fun to drive. Ford 9 in rear end with moly axels made by Strange, spool, 3.70 gears. Basic 4 link suspension. Car launches straight. Balanced drive line, MT Street ET tires (brand new) with tubes on Weld wheels. This car has power steering with an AGR box, power disc brakes. Full exhaust with Flowmaster race mufflers. This car is loud, sounds like a stock car, will set off every car alarm idling down the street. Barry Grant electric fuel pump, 20 gallon fuel cell, Optima battery. Full Autometer gauges, aluminum radiator, electric fan. Body This car is rust free, undercoated with POR-15, paint is a nice base coat clear coat. I call it Richard Petty blue, my wife calls it smurf blue…..you decide. The car is all steel except for the fiberglass cowl hood, and the painted fiberglass bumpers. The roll cage is DOM 1 ¾ 120 wall, full race seat belts, the seats are actually more comfortable than they look. I love to talk about this car, but will keep this description brief. I have this car insured through Hagerty, they say it’s worth $45,000 Actual Cash Value, 40% more replacement value. It’s somewhat of a pain to get insurance on this type of car, but I pay $50 a month, I’m sure it would be easy to transfer insurance to you with them. This car is very streetable, a ton of fun.
