Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1989 Porsche 928 S4 with automatic transmission and LSD. This car has 131K miles on it. I bought the car 4 years ago from a guy in Virginia. He had spent a load of money on it, but couldn’t make it run consistently. It does now. I have replaced: · Both the fuel pumps (internal and external) and fuel filter · The LH computer with a JDS rebuilt LH computer. · The MAF with a JDS rebuilt MAF · The timing belt twice (once in October '08 with a Conti belt, and again in April '10 with a Gates belt) · The original shocks with internally adjustable KONI shocks all around · Every hose and rubber boot under the intake · All the vacuum lines in the engine compartment · The original injectors were replaced with Bosch (gen.3) 4 nozzle injectors · The battery · The original Plug wires · The dash with a virtually crack free dash. The pod cover has one crack in it (picture 13) · Safety door lights with Red LED · Interior lights with LED · Dash illumination bulbs with LED · HVAC control head unit · Brake lines with Stainless Steel braided lines · Brake pads with Hawk Street pads · Stock wheels with 996 wheels. Tires are virtually new. · Neutral safety switch · Transmission fluid and filter · Oil pan gasket and obviously oil and filter · Motor mounts · Headlights with H4’s · Power steering reservoir and hose · AC compressor I have refurbished the intake (Powder coated and rebuilt), the Timing Belt tensioner (both times the timing belt was replaced), and all the HVAC vacuum actuators (when the dash was replaced). The water pump was replaced in April ‘08 (about 7K miles ago) The interior is probably a 8 of 10. There is some wear on the seats, but no major cracks and no splits. The tool tray is somewhat faded, Buyer is responsible for shipping cost. Seller can help make shipping arrangements if so neededbut could be recovered or dyed. The exterior paint is good. I believe the car was repainted after a collision in 1992. This paint is almost 20 years old, and is showing some up-close signs of oxidation, but this is not visible from more than 5 feet away. I put a ding on the right rear quarter just above the taillight by dropping a slippery ¾” drive socket on it. The front bumper cover has two 1” places where the clear coat is cracked from a parking lot incident. Option codes listed are: C02, 018, 158, 220, 418, 570, 586, 650, 935, and 980. Please do not bid if you do not intend to buy this car. Car is advertised locally and auction may be ended early if sold locally. Winning Bidder will pay a deposit of $1000.00 after auction has completed to remove this vehicle from sale. The vehicle price must be paid in full via cashiers check or wire transfer within seven business days following auction end. Buyer is responsible for shipping, but this car can be driven anywhere after payment is made. On Aug-30-10 at 12:36:08 PDT, seller added the following information: Autocheck shows several failed emission tests in '07. The failed tests are what prompted the fitment of the X-pipe and new high flow CATS. It then passed with flying colors. It also shows failure of emission tests in '09. Those were my fault as I didn't have the O2 sensor plugged in all the way. It appeared to be plugged in, but was not making a connection. Made the connection and voila! Passed again with no problem. The title is clear for this car.
