Vehicle Detail

Here is my 1996 Chevy impala up for sale. This has been a work in progress for a long time, I have always loved 96 impalas and this is my 3rd one. I was told by everyone that it was impossible to lay frame in a 96 impala on 24” wheels, I didn’t want to lay frame on 22” wheels because it has been done many times, and I didn’t like the way that the wheels didn’t fill up the fender wells, so I put my 22” wheels up and got a set of 24” wheels, then I saw that it might be possible to lay on 24” . To make a long story short it could be done and this is the proof. This is the first 96 impala to be bagged to lat frame on 24” wheels without pie cutting the fenders. This is 100% stock outer fenders, nothing was cut on the outside to make this work. Everything was done to make sure nothing was done to cut up the outer body, Most people have to tube the back or cut into the rear door to make this work. As you will see this everything is stock looking, all the interior is in and nothing is out of order, rear seats, seat belts, trim, carpet, moldings and glass are all in place in stock locations. From the looks you would never know this was bagged or that it lays frame. We took all the time needed to do this right and took a lot of time to keep the stock interior in place. I got this car 160k miles on it that an older guy used it as a daily driver and he had a 383 stroker installed fully built with borla headers from a shop around here. He spent 11k building this car to have as much HP as he could get, around 400 hp 400 t, he then took it out and blew the transmission up and he could not afford to get a new one and felt he needed to get rid of it. So I got it from him as the car that I was going to bag, it has a straight body and great interior. I took it to the shop and pulled all the interior out and boxed it up, pulled the car down to the bare bones to start fabrication. Sent trans off for a full rebuild with corvette internals, removed and sent rear-end off the get shortened 1.5” to be able to tuck( it’s a real built impala rear end not a caprice) All the rear suspension is a 1 off 2 link with z bar, front was trimmed and 2” drop spindles were installed to help lay, all new bushings and tie rods were installed as well as upper and lower ball joints, all bags were ran with ½ lines and valves. Also has restrictors/ mufflers to let the bags go up and down slow a quiet ( not installed ) has a 5 gal tank with 2 viar 444 compressors , with 200 psi press switch, and a new aluminum nitrogen bottle and stainless steel air reg valve, everything for this car was new out of the box. Also has a valve to be installed for bottle to top off tank if you need to . all the lines in the trunk for tanks , conp, valves are all high temp and high press hydraulic lines so the will be no issues of popping or any other problems. All parker valves, This car needed a paint job, after all the body work was finished we pulled the car back apart and removed everything and repainted black. Fenders, trunk, doors, windows, bumpers, emblems, door handles, key holes , everything was removed for paint, it was painted when the car went back together everything was replace with new parts, new ABS smooth bumpers front and back were installed ( not cheap fiberglass) all new oem emblems, new front grill with red emblem, new front window, new molding around fenders front and back, new headlights, turn signals, and tail lights taillights have sequential light kit installed . new magna flow exhaust installed on the old borla headers. Also added and new steering wheel , and installed double din stereo with a/c relocation kit. New carpet from impala ss forum .com nothing but the best, Now for the bad. a/c line was cut during the bag job ( have new line from chevy needs to be installed) one fog light outer glass was broken but still works fine. Headliner and visors need to be recovered to look 100% inside, Looks a little dirty. The shifter was lost so I got another one that I sent off the get recovered. So it will come with the car. The stereo is installed but not hooked up and still needs speakers. Had 2 kinetic batters installed but after being in the storage for a year they went bad so I installed a life time warrantee battery from hi/lo. Still have the kinetic batteries if you want them to trade in on new ones. Wheels are 24” dub moguls with great tires with lots of life to go. Car has had an alignment done a few months back and drives true and straight. And has a full set of locking lug nuts. paint job is new and has only been washed 5 times since it was painted, this car had been in storage for over a year. no miles and no driving at all I have over 30k in this car and I have driven this 20 miles since finished. Im looking to get another car. I’m selling this to get it. So no low ball offers and no trades, sorry cash money is what im looking for. Im selling local so I will end this if I get what im looking for. Thanks joshua http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgRRBLXDvro http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4lJr9aoCjg
