Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE AUCTION!!! For those of you who bid on this cool scooter a couple of months ago, it is again available, and this time at no reserve. This amazing little scooter has a 4 speed foot shift with a hand clutch, and while it is only 50cc it has great power, and is in fact faster than a 1963 125 Vespa I sold a while ago. It has a top speed per the speedo of around 42mph, and is a two stroke engine which requires mixing the oil in the gas. It is completely original and unrestored, with only the tires having been replaced. All else is as it came from the factory, right down to the seat and handgrips. The speedometer shows only 358 miles, and after careful examination of many components I believe there is a good chance that this is in fact the original miles on the scooter. It starts with one kick, and runs, steers, and stops beautifully. There were some wiring issues which I have corrected, and the key and all lights now work as they should. The only exception is the horn--it works, but only when the lights are on. I will leave that one to the new owner to figure out! Cosmetically I consider it as being in nice rider condition. There is one small crease in the left legshield which a Dent Wizard may be able to repair(see photos), and it has some general wear and small blemishes, but all in all it is the Survivior that most collectors are looking for. This scooter is extremely rare, with German quality that is in my opinion a few steps above the Italians. I am quite certain the happy buyer will have the only one on his block, and possibly the only one in his State. It is not what I consider as top show quality, but it certainly might win the "Unrestored" category at any local show. Call John at (928)600-4871 for an accurate description of any further details. Parts are readily available from suppliers in Germany, as these scooters were quite popular there. The original owners manual is included with the bike along with the May 2006 issue of Scootering Magazine, which has a 3 page color article on a scooter exactly identical to this one. I do not have a title and it will be sold with a Bill of Sale only. Being only 50cc, many of this type of scooter were not titled when new. A $200 deposit is due via Paypal within 24 hours of the close of auction, with the balance due within seven days. I will not accept Paypal for the balance, and shipping is the purchasers responsibility.
