1968 Impala Wagon in very good original condition. It was bought new for the Stafford County fire chief in 1968. The fire department needed it immediately so they took the only Chevy Wagon at the dealership. It happened to be blue so they had it painted red for the fire department. The fire chief used it to haul the jaws of life from 1968 to 1980. Then it was sold to the man I bought it from and he parked it in 1980 and got it out for a few months in 1987. He had the heads rebuilt and then parked it again until I purchased it about 4 or 5 months ago. I was going to keep it but I'm starting a new business and I'm going to try to sell it. It's a 327 (275 h.p.) power glide, double hump heads, 4bbl, power steering and air conditioning. The car runs and drives great with no mechanical issues. It has ice cold air conditioning. I removed and cleaned the gas tank and put a new sock in it, tuned the motor up: plugs, wires, cap, rotor and new fuel filter. It has 15 X 7 ralleys on front and 15 X 8 on back. All of the chrome is in great shape. All of the felt, rubber and wiring is in great shape also. The wiring is unmolested except where the fire department added the red light. I have the red light and it will be going with the car. Overall the body and drive train is in out standing original condition! This is literally the nicest unrestored wagon I have ever seen. There is no rust in the frame or floor. It does have a crack in the spare tire well. It is not bad though. I have included a picture of it. If you want any up close pics of damage please send me your email address. There also is no bondo in the body. It was repainted more than 40 years ago and it still looks nice. All of the lights and gauges work. It has soft ray factory tinted glass. All of the glass is good except the windshield has some cracks. It also has a great working rear electric window. You can sure tell that it was stored inside its whole life. This would be a nice daily driver or a dream to restore. If you have any questions please email me prior to bidding!!!
