Vehicle Detail
This add was pulled on 8-23 because I used brand names in the title that were not the make of this bike, thereby confusing the bidders or unfairly directing traffic to my auction. My reserve of $2250.00 had already been met. I appologize for any inconvenience, trauma, or hurt feelings this may have caused anyone. Just back from sturgis, and now up for auction. I built this bobber 2 yrs. ago for my friend who recently became real hard up for cash, so I stole it from him because I really love the bike and my triumph wasn't ready to go yet. I figured I could ride out and back and sell it before I had to pay him. I started with a stock cb750, and mounted the motor, forks, and wheels in a really long and low frame from Cycle Exchange in Hazelhurst, WI. This thing sits incredibly low, and with the upside-down clubman bars, and the long backbone, it really stretches you out. The baffles were cut out of the pipes to help out the noise level, and then wrapped. The seat, head light, and tail light were found in an old barn. They all fit the bike perfectly and work good too. The welds in the rear fender are from when I radiused a larger fender to fit the rear tire. I just left them because I liked the way they looked. The floor boards are made from expanded steel wrapped around a steel frame. The F*** stacks look really cooI but it's hard to not suffocate the two outside carbs with your legs, they should probably be replaced. I removed the front brake system when I got it because I like a clean front wheel, but it works good and is included with the bike. Wires from brake switch to tail light are still there. WARNING: This is a real bike. Goldwing and Road King riders need not apply. This bike rides like a hard tail should, leaks oil like a bike from the 70's should, is loud as hell, and draws a lot of attention. Parked on main street in stugis surrounded by a billion "custom" harleys, at times it seemed like this bike was the only one there because there were tons of people always checking it out and taking pictures of it. If you want I can email you video of it starting and running. If your used to owning old harleys or Triumphs like me, it may be hard for you to get used to NOT having to wrench and maintain your ride because these jap bikes are really reliable. Buyer is responsable for lining up and paying for shipping but I can bring it to a local loading dock of your choice. Or fly in and ride it home. Remember it's a Honda, not a Harley. Good clean SD title and there is a certificate of origin for the frame. My friend tried to ebay this bike a couple of months ago but he had a huge reserve. I just wanted a free ride to sturgis, so I'm just trying to get my money out of it. I have no doubt it will sell, but if it doesn't, I will auction off the motor and title and keep the frame for another project. Good luck.On Aug-26-10 at 14:20:17 PDT, seller added the following information: Someone asked me about the dimensions of the bike before the auction was canceled. 66.5" from axle to axle and 24" from the rear of the seat to the ground.
