1974 Jeep CJ 5 with only 70,500 original miles This is a really nice Jeep that is ready to run. I drive this Jeep daily and have had no issues with it. Let me list some of the features of this Jeep. A new set of suspension 1-1/2" lift springs and all bushings and Ubolts. Strong Running 304 V8 Engine that starts and runs perfectly and has no leaks or drips and does not burn any oil.A new battery, pointless distributor, alternator and various belts & hoses. The carb was recently taken off rebuilt and completely cleaned.Aluminum Wheels The 3 speed Transmission works smoothly and shifts through the gears perfectly without noise or whine.The transfer case works properly and has no leaks or noise.The front hubs run cool and the lockouts are smooth to operate.The Jeep drives down the road nicely without any vibrations or wandering.Front Bumper is aluminum channel. The frame is the absolute best I have seen on any CJ5. There are no rust holes or damage that I see at all on it. Included is the pictured custom top that covers the front seats.Nice clean upholstery that looks original. I bought this Jeep from a friend that needed the money and have decided to sell it myself. I bought it with the intention of keeping it for the family, so I did everything to make it a dependable and roadworthy daily driver. However, I have decided to let it go since some of my family don't share my passion for Jeeps. When my friend originally bought this, it was stored in a barn here in Kentucky and was used by a farmer to check his cattle everyday driving through the fields. That was its only use for about 5 years. I believe I am only the 4th owner of this vehicle. The engine has no leaks or drips and runs nice and cool. It is very dependable and runs a pointless ignition system. The body of the Jeep is nice and I have taken many pictures so you can get an idea of the overall condition. The nose of the Jeep (Hood, Fenders, Grill) all seem to be completely original without any body filler and look really good. The tires are 31" and have good tread and I have never had to put any air in them. The headlights, front directional and tail lights all work on the Jeep as does the horn, wipers CB and the fan. The previous owner had the V8 engine professionally rebuilt and it has tons of power for this little Jeep. The springs were replace with heavy duty 1.5" lift springs, so there is no saggy suspension that you find with original springs and the ride and off-roading ability is greatly improved. Other than what I have said, I do not know what to add, so I will let the photos do the talking for me. I use this as a daily driver so the mileage will change with time. It is very hard to find an old Jeep in as sound of condition as this, so don't let it get away.
