Vehicle Detail

1962 Triumph TR3B, white with red interior and wire wheels. This is a rare classic British sports car, commission number TCF789L. The TR3B is the last of the side curtain TR’s with only about 3,334 built from March 1962 through October 1962. This particular car was built June 27, 1962, and has the original 86 mm TR4 engine TCF610E with original all-synchro non-overdrive gearbox S/N TSF1257. The car has been in storage for 25+ years and does not run. It rolls smoothly for easy placement on a trailer or car carrier for transportation. This is a 100% complete, solid car, described in Richard Newton’s Illustrated Triumph Buyer’s Guide as “The most desirable permutation of the whole TR series.” Richard goes on, “The TCF series TR3B is probably the nicest of the cut down door family, very possibly the most valuable and by far the most collectable.” This car was purchased in Texas as a restoration project in 2009 but spouse and imminent retirement have changed my plans. I would like it to go to a good home.
