1991 BMW M5 This car is still a blast to drive. Engine and transmission strong, no synchro problems, excellent idle, and full power up to redline. All gears are functional, and the engine sounds wonderful. Under my ownership the car has had the self leveling removed, and low mileage rear 540 shocks and springs put in place. PS pump revised to standard type. New cluster with all pixels, new master and slave for the clutch, and new fuel pump. New battery. Freshly rebuilt starter. AC compressor on order, if car sells quickly, will be included with sale, if it doesn't sell quickly, it will be installed. System holds pressure, and has been converted to 134. Car also sports a new fuel pump, new fuel filter, and the main heater hoses are all new and recently replaced. Front suspension is PERFECT and has been sorted, no alignment needed, and bushings, bearings, all in good shape. Rear subframe bushings replaced, and "dogbone" rubber parts are new. Muffler did rust away, and a 540 muffler has been used in its place. Passed emissions with no problem at last round, but has been parked for a while. Original rims replaced with "throwing stars". Currently rear tires are snows. Note that as a 91 M5, this car has the less common 3.91 LSD diff on it. Clutch master and slave are new. Clutch works well. This car is WAY fun to drive, and has a lot of life left in it. This is the last of the hand built BMW's... two guys spent 2 weeks on this car when it was made....When I bought this car I bought a new fuel filter, radiator hoses, replacement lights and rear trunk struts, but never got around to putting it all on the car. Now its taken care of. Two minor items on order, coolant level sensor and external air temperature sensor. Interior is quite good, but not perfect. Sunroof works both ways. All windows work perfectly. Fronts were re-done under my care, and are fully functional: Heated seats, thigh bolsters, headrests and all switches and motors are perfect. Radio is original and all pixels work, no flaws, same with OBC. E36 M3 steering wheel and original steering wheel included. Can not find the spare tire currently, can not promise its inclusion with sale. Body work is not perfect, there are scratches in rear quarter and one door, and there is rust on all 4 doors. It has a new trunk, new trunk struts, new hood and fender. Free excellent condition 5 series Bentley manual thrown in. Since the photos the cracked headlight, R sided turning signal, front side bumper parking light and foglight have all been installed along with a new piece of door external bumper trim for the left rear door that was coming off. It would be a shame to part this out, but the interior, engine, gearbox, cluster, diff, M5 body parts alone are worth more than the reserve. I can send high res vesions of the photos to people if they wish. Title will be mailed when personal or bank checks clear if cash deal is not conducted.
