Vehicle Detail

This auction is for a 1967 Ford Mustang Hardtop. It has a 1969 351W 4V (4bbl carb) and a 1969 Toploader 4 speed manual transmission. The rear end is a Ford 9 inch out of a 1969 Mustang, along with the power front disc brakes and power steering. This vehicle has NON-MATCHING numbers. It was originally a six-cylinder with a manual 3 speed. I am the second owner. The whole drive train is out of a 1969 Mustang, except the engine, which is out of a 1969 Torino. It (the motor) is a rare 351W 4V version rated at 300HP stock. The engine was rebuilt it 1987 and now has about 40,000 miles on it. The engine is bored .060 over stock and the crank was honed (not turned under). There is a Competion Cams 268 HYD cam in it. A Mallory Uni-lite distributor is installed. Unfortunately sold the stock 4V intake manifold when I was younger. It now has an Edelbrock dual-plane manifold. The heads are still original 1969 351W 4V. The front seats are out of a 1969 Mustang and are in bad shape under the seat covers. The car has been stripped down to bare steel and re-painted in 1987 with DuPont Lucite Lacquer. There are some paint nicks and garage dings here and there (see photos). The car is very sound and has very little rust. The only place that might have some rust is under some bubbled paint above the rear driver side tire (see photo). The headliner, dash and carpet are in excellent shape. The Front kick panels are cracked and broken. The driver side quarter window needs to be helped up by hand and needs some repair. The rear back-up lights need new rubber. All glass is Carlite® original, except windshield and passenger side quarter window. It is missing the letter “A” on the rear trunk lid. The fender above the driver side front got split about five inches when the tire caught the inner lip and pulled it down. This Mustang was always garaged. For the last 18 years it has only been driven when I have had to move. It leaks some power steering fluid out of the control valve. The radiator has no fan shroud so it does get hot when not moving. The radiator is out of a 1969 Mustang. I think the driveline seals on both ends might be seeping a little (diff and trans). The water pump housing gaskets look to be wet, like some coolant is coming through the gaskets. This vehicle really needs a good home and some TLC. I would not recommend driving this car until gone through by a mechanic.
