Vehicle Detail

Here's a 1965 Deluxe Fastback Mustang, still has the 6-cylinder and auto transmission installed. The car is exactly as the pictures show with nothing added or removed since photos. The door decodes this car as a verified, RARE Deluxe fastback.... one of 5776 made. It is factory equipped with deluxe "pony" interior door panels, seats, and dash treatment. Although the car had been sitting untouched from 1978 or 1979, I purchased it around 2000. After I got the car home, I did get it started and drove it about a month before letting her hibernate from 2001 to current. The rear and side glass are in very good condition in my opinion. The front glass has one "BB" circle chip on it. The interior (minus carpet) is ALL there and needs to be completely restored. Seats need new upholstery, as well as new dash, gauge cluster, etc. The best part about the interior, aside from it all being intact, is that the radio area is not cut, nor were the lower doors for speakers. The trap door assembly is complete with all parts working correctly, and again no holes were cut in the trap do or fiberglass side panels. Rear window vent assemblies are functional and complete also, inside and out. There are many areas that need rust repair by way of cutting out old panels and replacing. Virtually all floor panel components, trunk floor, drop offs, rear frame rails, partial front frame rails, engine compartment, shock towers (possible) are going to need replacement. I believe there is body filler in the doors and parts of the front fenders, but the hood, decklid, and rear fenders are very good and "workable" in my opinion. The roof is in very good shape as well. This is a project worth saving or using as a great start if you have a rust-free V-8 coupe donor car.
