1993 Dodge Ram ¾ ton (2500) cab and a half full size pickup, Cummins 6 cylinder turbo Diesel, Automatic transmission, 150,000 miles. Also selling locally drop by and see / test drive... I do reserve the right to cancel the auction if sold locally. But will try not to do this if serious bidding has started. You are looking at the last year of the first generation Dodge Ram 2500 (¾ ton) pickup powered with the LEGENDARY 12 VALVE TURBO CUMMINS DIESEL. This is a white 1993 full size cab and a half (full 8 foot bed), the last year of the body style built Dodge tough. It has an automatic transmission. The truck has the newer much more comfortable leather seats installed out of a 2002 (I think) Dodge cab and a half. The driver’s seat is electric with full adjustment and lumbar support. The center front seat has the easily accessible storage compartment. The rear bench seat is a tight fit in the older truck (zero leg room) and I will include the original side facing seats if you wish to go back if you plan to use the rear for passengers. The truck has a tow package installed. Sony tape deck, bed liner and side mount tool box are included. No rust as it has been a southern vehicle for all of its life (Florida, South Carolina, and now Virginia). It currently has just under 150,000 miles on the odometer. Clear title in Virginia. It is currently a great work truck and will carry heavy loads without any complaints. Antilock brakes, headliner console, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, etc. Underbody in great shape. I have the Carfax history report I can send to any interested potential buyers and can take any pictures and send via email if you want. I will try not to do this if serious bidding has already started. This truck was my daily driver a few years ago when I ran a remodeling company in South Carolina. It has been parked for a couple of years as I have been working overseas. Gets 16 – 22 mpg in normal use. Vehicle is located south side of Richmond, Va, 23237. Issues I currently have with the truck are: The air conditioning has slowly over the last year of use cooled less and less and now doesn't seem to cool at all, in fact the compressor doesn't kick in (low Freon?) (I can include R12 Freon for the refill 3 pounds). The cruise control doesn't work. The overdrive doesn't seem to kick in on higher speeds (I have been told the electric switch that kicks in the overdrive doesn't work). I have modified it to run on a Straight Vegetable Oil (SVO) biodiesel system with a second tank, heating devices for the oil, and switching devices to allow it to start on diesel and switch over to SVO biodiesel after it warms up. It has run smoothly on this system for up to 200 miles straight on trial runs as well as around town runs. I will include the system in the sale for an additional $1000 above sales price if you are interested. I will be glad to talk about the idea and explain more about biodiesel to anybody who is interested as I have used it on several vehicles both manufacturing biodiesel, and now as SVO. . The brown toolbox is mostly the biodiesel system and I will include if you wish to purchase this system. I have gotten up to 22 miles per $1 over a whole tank with my SVO biodiesel system. Normal fuel economy is 8 - 10 miles per $1 at current deisel prices (16-22 miles per gallon). With a larger tank for the veg fuel oil I could do much better as I have found most restaurants I have asked are glad for me to take used oil out of their tanks for free, though some of them have services that take it and don't want me to mess with it. Anyway, I have returned it to stock Diesel and can include the system if the buyer is interested as mentioned above for $1000 extra. Someone asked on the accident on record. I was in a Home Depot parking lot, I was not in the vehicle and someone brushed the car on the way out... slight scrape in the door and passenger front quarter panel had a big ding. I reported it to insurance and they paid to replace the quarter panel and repaint the vehicle (I think it was in 2006 or 7).
