I've got a 1996 Volvo 850 I don't use anymore. I want to get rid of without any hassle so I'm not setting any reserve price. The car will need work. I haven't driven it in a year but it ran well. The odometer stopped working 6 months before I stopped driving it so the mileage is off by 5,000 miles or so. I had the engine rear main seal replaced about the same time and the mechanic said the engine and transmission were in great shape. The main problem this car developed just before I stopped driving it was with the air conditioning. The A/C suddenly stopped working and released heated air instead. I was told that most likely one of the cabin temperature sensors needed replacement or possibly the electronic climate control. unit. The tires are in fair condition, the paint is OK but there are a few chips that could use a good touch up job and a scratch on the hood. The black vinyl trim on the roof has dry rot and is flaking off badly near the drivers door. (See pictures) The seats are leather and the front seats have a few cracks. The drivers seat has a friction tear a few inches long along the left edge. I have a brand new seat of rugged cloth matching covers for the front seats. This car is a nice strong Volvo but it will need immediate work before putting it on the road. I do not have time to show the car so if you want it, be prepared to pay in full sight unseen. Winning bidder must pay a NON REFUNDABLE $150.00 deposit within 24 hours of auction close. The remainder must be paid within 72 hours of auction close.
