Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a piece of history and one cool bug! Everytime I drive this car people stare, ask me what year, smile and just always look at an old bug, especially this one. I've owned this bug for the past year and i'm not sure how many owners it's had in the past. I bought it from a guy in Albuquerque and it's been in Santa Fe since. I've never had one issue with it mechanically. When I bought it I changed the oil, replaced an axle boot, adjusted the clutch, brakes and steering. Since it's been a joy to drive never failing to start or leaving me stranded. Here's what I know about the car: It has a 1776cc single port, german replacement case 4 cyl engine. It's dual carbs work perfectly and are adjusted for altitude. There's lots of chrome, empi head covers and a bosch ignition. Everything on this vehicle works. The interior is in decent shape but could use some reconditioning. There is a hole in the drivers seat cover and it could use replacing at some point. The headliner is pretty near perfect shape and attached as it should be. The window seals are good and no issues. The windows are, my guess, orginial equipment and are in good shape. I've replaced the door handles and window cranks a couple of times due to them breaking at various points. Included in the sale are extras to include the dowels. The stereo in this bug is awesome! It has a 600 watt amp and huge subwoofer speakers behind the rear seat and a detachable face alpine stereo. The only thing needing hooked up is the heater boxes to the interior control. The paint is that of a car that's been on the road and not in bad shape, although there are some spots that could use some attention. My goal with this car was to work on it peice by piece until I had it the way I wanted it. Unfortunately, there's a baby on the way and this baby needs to go down the road to an owner that will love it and keep it's history alive. Tires are in good shape and not much ware. Just look at the pictures and you'll see. This car is going to go for a low price so bid with confidence. If you have negative numbers you can hit the road as i'm not interested in selling this hot rod to a turd. So get on down the road! All of you others out there bid with confidence. This vehicle is for sale locally and i reserve the right to end this auction early as I see fit. Good luck!
