Vehicle Detail
1993 Honda Civic DX Sedan Red 4 door Automatic Air Conditioning ORIGINAL GROUND EFFECTS AND SPOILER THAT WAS INSTALLED BY "DICK HANNAH HONDA" IN 1993 My mother was the original owner of this car. If you are want a unique honda civic unlike any other then this is the one for you. Hardly anyone purchased the original Ground Effects and Spoiler for over $3500.00, those who chose to put on ground effects usually went with aftermarket ground effects to save alot of money. I personally have never seen any other honda in 17 years that had the original ground effects and spoiler. She drove this car until about 5 years ago when she gifted it to me with around 130K miles. At approx 140K miles the crankshaft pulley fell of and ruined the keyhole in the crankshaft. So I had two choices... A new crankshaft ( Price qoute was almost $2000.00 ) or a new engine. So I found a reputable shop in portland "JAPENESE IMPORTS ENGINE SALES" and purchased an engine with approximately 25 thousand miles that was imported from japan out of a newer civic and had them install the new engine for me. ( I have the reciepts for the engine totalling over $1800 with all the extras i paid for). Too make sure that I wouldn't have to work on it any time soon, I requested that the Crankshaft seal, Camshaft seal, water pump, timing belt tensioner, timing belt, alternator belt, power steering belt, and the air conditioningg belt be done while they were already there to save money from having to go back there again for something else. Now the car had a new engine with only 25K miles, and not only that but there are so many other items that have to be replaced mandatory when changing engines, like the front seal, main seal, intake m/f gasgket, thermostat and gasket, coolant, cooling hoses e.t.c. Later I performed a tune up and replaced Distributor cap, rotor, and spark plug wires. Now the car runs great and has been ever since I replaced the motor 30K miles ago. The warranty has ran out on the engine, but it still runs great. The tires and battery are like new. Just Passed DEQ with FLYING COLORS 7 months ago. HC (PPM) Cruise limit: 190 Cruise Result: 75 PASS Idle Limit: 220 Idle Emmissions: 60 PASS CO% Cruise limit: 1.4 Cruise Result: .42 PASS Idle Limit: 1.2 Idle Emmissions: .02 PASS Now for the problems. The Honda symbol on the trunk was stolen. The carpet has been cleaned but has some stains that will not come off. Brand new Floor mats cover most of it, and overall it looks pretty good for its age. Interior Door Handle in Driver Side Rear door needs replaced. It is cracked. Just Waxed, Cleaned, inside and Out, New floor mats, and ready for its 3rd Owner. I have reciepts for the new engine and stuff, totaling over 1800 dollars from a year and a half ago or so and the tires, battery, distributor cap, rotor, and spark plug wires bring the total to around $2500 spent on this car in the last two years, to bring it into the condition that it's in now.
