Vehicle Detail

Audio Player Copyright 2009 Ver2.04 You are bidding on one of the best vintage VW Sedan restorations on the market today – a stunning 1964 Beetle that was the recipient of a professional pan-off, ground-up, bare-metal cosmetic and mechanical redo, all done to the highest standards of professional restoration. Driven less than 500 miles since project completion, it features great, show-winning paint, a detailed underbody, two-tone wheels, a spotlessly clean interior, a numbers-matching 1300cc drivetrain, a repro roof rack and plenty of other neat goodies. It’s great eye-catching fun – offering VW lovers the very best in classic looks, ride and drive – we believe it to be better now than when it was new. It is a multiple show winner and was a feature car in Dune Buggies and Hot VW’s Magazine. The lucky winner of this auction will own a great vintage VW that has received the best interior and exterior restoration available, with unusual attention to detail. Once you’ve turned the key, you’ll be tempted to bury the needle in this neat red 1964 Beetle Sedan. With its clean, stock looks, hot color and superior paintwork and interior, it all adds up to fun – in one great package! And, at my own expense, I will deliver this great Beetle convertible to the winning bidder anywhere in the continental United States via licensed, bonded and insured auto carrier. Major Features: Superior interior and exterior restoration. New drivetrain – low miles! Detailed underbody. The extraordinary benefit of free delivery to you. After the body was separated and removed from the pan, the pan was blasted, then powder coated, the body shell and pieces were dipped and stripped to bare metal and then repainted red, inside and out. It has a beautiful candy apple red appearance. Its owners invested well with a cool combination of correctness, originality and finish, preserving the original look with the following interior items: New rubber seals throughout the car. New gray/white leatherette interior panels. New leatherette seat covers. New headliner. New visors. New grab handle. New dash knobs New heater duct flaps. New rubber floor mats front and rear. New pedal pads. New chromed door and window crank handles. New door and window crank escutcheons. German square-weave carpet throughout. New chrome trim for dash and body. New chrome bumper blades and guards. Original rims were powdercoated, then re-painted black over red – 5 total, including spare. All vent locks in excellent condition. The Drivetrain. True to a correct, colorful vintage restoration, the restorer rebuilt the original 1300cc engine and 4 speed gearbox to factory specifications, and included all new bits – generator, shocks, exhaust, heater boxes, etc. I performed the following recent routine maintenance items: Fresh oil. New Bosch plugs. New points. Valves adjusted. Brakes adjusted. Clutch adjusted. New battery 6-volt electrical system. All dash and exterior lighting works properly, including dash lights, and tag lights. Wipers and horn work fine. No chips or cracks in door window glass or convertible top rear glass. Tires are 100%.
