Vehicle Detail

heartbreakal Store Here’s a 2 door 80,000 mile 64 Imperial that has been sitting since the eighties, with an almost rust free body, original paint, NO BONDO EVER! The fenders and doors are amazingly clean, the inner fender wells are solid, the under frame was heavily undercoated by the dealer and that saved the floors, trunk and frame from rot, except for a 6" weak spot on the pass. side floor. Behind the LR wheel and trunk valance there’s a few quarter sized holes, easy fix (pictured). It’s got a 413 engine that runs great! I rebuilt the carb, put in a new set of plugs and new fuel pump, changed the oil & filter and after sitting for 20+ years it fired right up and ran like a top. I let it warm up and hit the push button shifter and it went right into drive and reverse with no hesitations then took her around the block, brakes work but weak. The power steering works smooth and effortlessly, the doors close like a safe vault. There is a complete set of new front and rear brake shoes in the trunk, I have installed a rebuilt master cyl. (needs rebuilt booster), I may install the shoes by the time it sells, but no promises. All the glass is good, the chrome is all there. The interior needs attention like dash pad, rugs, front seat covers, 2 pieces of the cloth head liner came down just above front seat, the pieces are in tact and go with the car. The door panels, arm rests and rear side panels are great, so is the rear seat. A lot of the upper interior trim was dismantled for re-chroming it looks like it’s mostly all there, in the trunk. The car is loaded with options and has rare tilt wheel. The engine compartment is unmolested and all the original parts are in tact. The title is lost but I have the name and address of the last owner to send for a duplicate IL title. I do suggest seeing the car in person before bidding. Sold as is. I just recently bought it myself with the intention of restoring her but have too many projects, not enough space. I’m letting her go to someone who has more time or passion than me for beautiful 2 door classic Imperials. Call AL for further details at 708 636 1949 HAPPY BIDDING! Trades considered: Harley, Triumph, Hemi, blowers, race junk, big blocks, small blocks, Holleys, 305 hondas, quads, no boats, no Japs.
