Vehicle Detail
1970 Plymouth Fury III Convertible. This Plymouth Fury has the 440 engine and the factory vin number indicates that it is a Plymouth Convertible that came from the Illinois plant with the 440 engine and four barrel carb. The car runs, drives, shifts, and stops. It is missing some of the chrome trim, but all of the critical and hard to find convertible parts are there. The engine appears to be original to the car, but has an after market Edlebrock carb and air cleaner. I have a clear title in my name. I have driven the car short distances and it runs without overheating, shifts properly, and stops as it should. The car has after market chrome rims. The car was undergoing a restoration and the owner ran out of funds. The body work is almost complete and ready for paint. The car was originally a maroon/copper color with the black interior. It is currently in primer, but was painted white several years ago. I want to be sure the new owner knows exactly what they are buying. On the negative side, the top and interior need to be replaced. The electronics for the power top, windows, and seats have been disconnected. The front window is cracked, but all of the side windows appear to be in good shape. There is a small amount of rust in the floor, but it is not critical. The trunk floor has been professionally replaced with new metal. The body work was completed and primed in a professional body shop. The engine runs good and doesn't smoke or leak, but it needs fine tuning to shift better and to be more dependable. This car is still in need of restoration work. The dash pad is cracked and the driver's inside door panel is missing. I have had new keys made and the car is in covered storage. A $500 PayPal deposit is required within 48 hours of the auction closing. I will gladly assist the shipper you select to ship the car anywhere in the world. If you have any questions or comments, please email them to me and I will respond promptly and thoroughly. I want the new owner to be satisfied with the car. Please read my feedback score comments. I highly value my 100% positive feedback score and I want to be sure I maintain an honest business reputation. On Aug-04-10 at 11:20:21 PDT, seller added the following information: An Ebay member questioned if the factory identification plate was attached to the car. This person wanted to know the numbers on the plate. I tried to take a picture of the plate, but it didn't show the numbers clearly. These are the numbers in order, top to bottom, of the plate riveted to radiator brace in the engine compartment of my car. There are five lines. The first line is as follows: P45 R22 VO1 V5X 26. The second line is as follows: L31 M31 M85 N88 P81 P41. The third line is as follows: V3X A01 A04 D41 G11 H51. The fourth line is as follows: FK5 M4XA TX9 A17 O39631. The fifth line is as follows: E85 D32 PM27 TOD 140285. I hope this information is useful. If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to ask.On Aug-08-10 at 17:56:19 PDT, seller added the following information: An ebay member advised that my Plymouth Fury III with the 440 engine is very rare - possibly one of seven still around.
