Vehicle Detail

Up for auction: 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible. Emberglo Metallic with Luxury Pony Tirm. This is a numbers Matching car. 49,000 actual miles Well documented with original papers. The car needs a full restoration. It has lots of common rust, but the car has the right options and it is one of the hotest selling color combinations out there. In addition, the car has never been messed with. Everything is just how it came out of the Dearborn assembly line. If your looking for the perfect car to bring back to life, then this is your car. Here is the car by the numbers: 76B- Convertible wLuxury int V- Emberglo ext color 64- Emberglo and Parchment luxury trim (pony) 30F - 30 June 35- Lansing Mi 6- 280 axle 6- Auto trans VIN - 6F08C399xxx (the last 3 numbers will be given only to the winning bidder) Here are some other details about the car. The car has been stored in a pole barn for the past 30 years, with nothing really done to it. The last time it was started was around 25 years ago. The car was purchased locally and driven for 3 years and traded in. Since then, the car was never on the road much. I feel real sure that the miles are correct. The title states the miles are acurate and true. I removed the rear tires last week and the drums still had the "stays" intact on the rear lug nut studs- so that most likely means that the car never had the rear brakes changed-( another sign of low miles). I had to removed all 4 brakes because the shoes were rusted to the drums. The car now rolls around real nicely. Starting in the front of the car. The bumper are pited. The hood and hinges work very well. The engine is all intact, and should be the original engine. 289 2bbl. The transmission still shifts. The front half of the car has less rust then the back. The front rails amd shock towers seem fine. The car has manual brakes, and no power steering or air. The Convertible top is power and could work fine, but I have not put a battery in the car yet to try it. The reat of the bottom of the car from the driver feet back will need a lot. torque boxes, frame rails and floor pans. the rear springs have come out the truck floor. so that floor and tank will need replacing. I put 2 bolt on the steering arms that had fallen off- so that the car will steer properly. All the sheet metal is original. (no body work has done) The doors, a front fender, the hood and deck lid are fine. The cowl seems OK. All the glass i s original and intact, but the front windshield has scraches. The car has the full floor console. The pony seats are in pretty good shape- no rips or tears. The wheels look like new. The tires seem perfect. It seems that 25 years ago the owner had the wheels repainted and new tires put on, and then did no more to the car. The car has the original spare tire and trunk mat, convertible bag and boot cover that will of course come with the car. There is only 3 hub caps, but you might only want to use the little center hub cap to show off these beautifully done matching painted wheels. Nothing has been removed from this car as far as I can tell. I tried to write all I remember about the car, but I'm sure there is something I forgot. Please email me with any questions. The pictured should fill in any blanks in my description. I have the clean title for the. and the org owners manual. The car will need a complete restoration, I know that, but there are not many of the untouched survivor cars left to find. Don't miss out on this find. I have set a reasonable reserve (please don't ask) on the car and it should sell well beyond that. Buyer is responsible for shipping and it's costs. The car does not run, but it rolls nicely. I will sell international, but be aware of shipping costs before you bid. $500 deposit is needed within 24 hours after the end of the auction, and the balance due with-in 7 days Thank you for looking, please bid and bid often.
