1996 Honda Interceptor

Up for auction is a 1996 Honda VFR 750 F. I am selling this bike for my brother who is heading out of the country and will not be able to take the bike with him. He bought the bike two summer ago as a bike that had been laid down. The bike has lived at my house since he bought it. When he brought it home I went over the bike from front to back. There was, and still is a number of cosmetic issues with the bike, but it is sound. The only functional damage the bike received was to the radiator. It was bent and the filler neck was deformed. I took off the radiator and sent it to a shop that dose nothing but fix radiators. The shop straightened the radiator and welded on a new filler neck that is supposed to be stronger than the factory one. I also flushed and bled the front and rear brakes as well as the clutch with new fluid. I rebuilt the forks too. They were straight and functioned fine, but needed new seals and fluid. The tires have a about 80% life left. The chain and sprockets are also in good shape. This bike has clean oil in it right now and can be ridden till the the snow falls without any work. The carbs are balanced an and clean, as is the air filter. The only thing you will have to do is change the oil next year. The battery does not seem to loose a charge. I don't ride this bike often as I have a number of other bikes, but every time I go to start her up she fires on the first push of the button. I have taken this bike on a number of long rides. At a reasonable passe it will easily get over 200 miles per tank at about 45-50 mpg. This would be a great commuter bike. You don't have to worry about abusing it, it does well in all traffic situations, and is blast to ride! The V4 engine is very torquey, but still revs freely. This bike can be ridden briskly, but will not high-side you into the next county like the latest crop of liter bikes if you grab a fist full of throttle. The power on this bike is very usable. It is easy to move around on and can be ridden comfortably for a long distance as the ergos are relatively relaxed. Please see the pictures below for details about the bikes appearance. I make not qualms about the bike, it has a number of dings and scrapes. It is missing some plastic and a few of the tabs to attach the plastic are bent. The bike is currently registered and has an inspection sticker that is current. Please feel free to ask questions or request more specific pictures.
