Vehicle Detail
1989 MASERATI 430 VIN: ZAMBN1108KB328588, less than 19,500 miles. You are viewing a very nice, low mileage Maserati 430 sports sedan; beautiful and fast. With less than 19,500 original miles, this handsome automobile has been very well maintained, with beautiful red paint and sumptuous materials. The cabin incorporates soft leather, elegant suede, and rich wood trim facing the doors, instrument panel, hand brake and gear shift. The headliner is all suede! This car has the tilt & slide sunroof and comes with an owners manual and limited service records. I have clear California Title. The car starts easily and the ZF 4- Speed Automatic Transmission is tight. It drives nice and quick - the twin turbos work great with good boost, it steers straight, brakes true, and the Air Conditioning blows cold. The body is clean and the paint is impressive. Due to its clean appearance, the car must have been garaged and well cared for over the years; recently it has received both mechanical repairs and quality servicing. All maintenance is now up-to-date; it is ready for you to twist the key and enjoy. The 1989 - 1990 models are considered the best of all the bi-turbo's manufactured; unfortunately only a very small number these cars were ever imported (approx. 220 Coupe, Sedan and Spyder Convertible models were shipped over from Italy). These later cars received a signicant number of improvements including: a fuel injected 2.8 liter V6 engine, with twin air-to-air intercoolers and twin water-cooled IHI turbos. This resulted in a potent 225 hp and 246lb-ft of torque - able to acheive 0-60 times the 6 second range - which was very good back in 1989. Additional improvements included: five-lug 15" alloy wheels, larger 'vented' disc brakes, improved electrics, dual-twin pipe exhaust, standard Sensitork / Range limited-slip differential, new grille, and a beautiful unique leather, suede and wood trimmed interior. Recent service work & mechanical repairs include: New belts and hoses - including the important Engine Cam Belt Fresh fluids & new filters: engine oil, fuel filter, differential, transmission - car does not drip or leak New radiator - new core, new fluid - car runs cool & electric fans work well Remanufactured alternator New wires, distributor cap, spark plugs - tune up mainteneance New front end rubber bushings, tie rod and front sway bar New engine & transmission mounts New front suspension struts. New rear trunk lid struts New Dunlop Direzza DZ101, Ultra High Performance Summer tires, size: 205/55VR-15 Rebuilt front brake calipers Rebuilt Seiko air conditioning compresor & new receiver-dryer, Air Cond. blows nice and cold Lighting, power drivers seat, power windows, power sunroof, power side view mirrors, electric trunk and gas door release all funtion properly Car includes original dealer installed radio and cassette player and power antenia - all funtion, but a new radio and speakers are needed. Currently known issues: The factory cruise control does not work. The car has an exhaust / spare tire carrier area vibration sound, which can sometimes be heard briefly around 55 MPH and goes away as you go faster. It also goes away shifting from Drive/4th - into 3rd. And the car would also benefit from a new radio & speakers.
