Vehicle Detail

Summer of 1971 in Canoga Park, California - John Nyholm purchased this 66' Pontiac Lemans from his friend across town. John's son, Chris has memorie's of his dad taking this photo back when they first purchased it in June of 71'. The original owner, John's friend special ordered & purchased this Lemans from Gianera Pontiac, 3333 Foothill Blvd, La Crescenta, CA (dealer code 24-100). He order it adding from the factory : ======== Sprint Package ============ 4 speed manul transmission Hurst Shifter Deluxe WoodGrain Steering Wheel WoodGrain Trim Factory Black Rally I Wheels W/ Red Calipers In Dash RPM John came from a Pontiac Family and loved this Lemans, it was his baby. He kept it in his garage, away from his son. In fact, his son only drove it twice all those year's. In 1985, John Nyholm became ill & the Lemans Sprint was parked in the garage in 1986. Couple of year's later, the owner passed away. The son moved out leaving his mom alone in 89' and parked his 1971 Tornia GT Convertible right next to it. For 23 year's, this Pontiac did not move a inch and never left the garage in'till recently. The garage door, the son stated has not been open in over a decade. Simple thought is the wife & son chose not to do anything with the Pontiac as it reminded them too much of John. Up For Sale for the very first time is this 1966 Pontiac Lemans Factory Sprint 4 Speed at No Reserve . . . Let's see what been in the garage all these year's Below Photo : Washed, Detailed and polished the original paint - That all This is as an unrestored & True Time capsule. The old saying is " it's only original once ", Well this Lemans stand's right behind that. Not a Barn Find but a True California Garage Find in Los Angeles. A Real PHS Documented 1966 Pontiac Lemans Sprint Overhead Cam Factory Ordered 4 speed Hurst Shifter. The color combination is Marina Turquoise with a Black vinyl top. The interior is Black with the Deluxe Woodgrain dash & steering wheel. It has never been painted & remain's the original perfect vinyl top. Even the original Sprint white stripe is still attach. The frame structure and floor's are in beautiful shape. They are as solid as they come and show's that it has been in a safe place. Just imagine, it has not seen a drop of rain in 23 year's and has Never seen snow / salted road's. This is a True Built & raised Southern California Pontiac. The trunk has the original GM trunk spatter and rubber mat along with the spare. On driver side, there is some surface rust under mat. Complete exterior chrome & emblems. It does have ding's, a couple minor dent's and faded out paint. That come's with having the factory paint. Keep in mind, it's a unrestored car. The interior is bone stock and is a prime example of what original mean's. It show's normal wear but not much. It's in great shape overall with no modifaction's. Factory radio and all gauge's including the factory Rpm ( not working ) are in place. Rare speaker switch still working along with the am radio. The defroster, heater, lighter, overhead light & gauges belive it or not are in working condition. Light's work just fine. After sitting for such a long time, we got the 230 6 Cylinder running. It run's strong and does it quickly. The 4 speed shift's into all gear and the clutch / shifter is tight. To get it in running conditon, a few thing's had to be done. Rebuilt the original 4bbl Rochester - Restored the raditor Clean out the gas tank - Blow all fuel lines - Vintage A/C Spark Plugs Drained all fluids - New master cylinder - New 14' Tires - New Wires - etc Started right up and drove it around town for a day. The Rally wheel's as told were ordered Black from the factory and the drum's are Red. Missing one center cap from the Rally's. Only 3 Drum's remain Red though as well as 3 out of the 4 T3 Headlights. Overall, this is a running & driving Pontiac Sprint. It was detailed, polished and conditon the top to bring it back to life. My last word's are, not every day a car like this come's along. In fact, I have not seen one on Ebay in this sort of shape. Some people say " I hoped it was a GTO in this conditon ". Well, yea but this is more rare then a GTO. Not many Overhead Cam's left out there but a ton of 400's. You have a rare chance to own a Special Pontiac. This car deserve's to be left the way it is. I have set my auction at a 5 Day Auction No Reserve, so please bid serious to own. If you would need any other information or have a question, feel free to give me a call anytime of the day at ( 562 ) 612 -8416. I am willing to Sell Worldwide and help with any shipping arrangments. Full payment to be paid in 3 Business days. It does have the original Clear & small California pink slip. Still registered to the 2nd owner John Nyholm, with the current address where the car spent it's life at since 71'. I recommend a guy named Bernie at Dependable Auto Shipper's. Number there is ( 310 ) 525 -2259, located about 15 mintue's away from me. Mention myself Chris for a discount. With all that said, Don't wait the last second's to bid. Not worth loosing - You might not see another one for 23 year's. Best of luck to all bidder's and the Winner - * Enjoy Over 100 Detail Photo's & 2 Video's - Just give time to load * Above Photo : Just Rebuilt the Quadra Jet 4 BBl Above Photo : Original Service sticker partial attach to Driver Door ( 818 ) area code Above Photo : PHS Document's for this 1966 Pontiac Lemans John Nyholm was the second owner when purchased it in June of 1971 Above Photo: 3 of the 4 Original T3 Headlight's remains Above Photo was taken in June of 1971 when purchased from the Original owner.
