Vehicle Detail
84 Mustang LX. Is a great project car. Probably the cleanest 84 project mustang on Ebay. Is all original right down to the AM FM Cassette player. Interior is in great shape with very little sun fade, paint is original and in good shape. There vertually no rust on the body. Has been been in a dry storage unit for the past 13 years and was owned by an elderly man before that who too meticulous care of the car. Has a few strange things about it that are not stock. Has a carberated 4cyl with a turbo and a 4 speed and true dual exhaust. Also appears to have V8 suspension, swaybars, and brakes. What makes this a project car is that the driver side fender, windshield, and hood need to be replaced due to storm damage and the engine needs a head gasket. Engine did run when parked. There is no other body damage besides those three items. Please feel free to ask any questions about the car. thanks for checking out my auctionOn Jul-25-10 at 15:35:37 PDT, seller added the following information: I thought I mentioned it in the listing but I'm sorry if I didn't. I beleive the engine and turbo setup to be stock out of a 79 80ish GT or Indy pace car. The man I bought the car off of was a 4cyl turbo nut. He had an SVO with 10k miles, and a 79 Indy Pace Car 4cyl turbo with 1000 miles on it and this 84 that he kept in a heated/air conditioned garage. The 84 was his driver and fun car. He even towed it behind his motor home when he would travel(tow bracket is still on the car) The head gasket went out and he got into failing health which forced the sale of the car. I bought it for a V8 swap but had too many things going at once so it has just sat. The damage to the car happened while the previous owner had the car up for sale in his yard. The way you see it is the way I bought it. I would also like to add that although the engine was running when it was parked, there was water in the oil so the engine would need rebuilt. I have a strong running 4 cyl engine out of an 88 mustang that I would throw in if the buyer wants it.
